I stand with Frank Underwood in 2016. A vote for Underwood is a vote for America Works.
Hahaha! AmWorks is the key for America.
AlexTheEpic I agree. We pass America Works, then I think Underwood stands a good chance of winning the vote.
AlexTheEpic It shocks me that so many Americans who think they know politics and their politicians dont, support a murderer to be their president. Of course the murderer looks cool, but that is a murderer. Thanks God USA is ruled to a large extent by elites.
Chen Alex "Of course the murderer looks cool, but that is a murderer." But that's what makes him a great president.
Omg
That accent is so alluring. I wish more Americans talked like that.
Sux...but It's a Hollywood invention
No one speaks like that anymore in some southern state ?
It's just an-old fashioned southern accent. Not many people speak like that anymore.
they do but its rare to speak that accent. Kevin just happens to control it.
Like Martin Sheen in Gettysburg?
I hate that this show ended the way it did. I’m sympathetic of the victims of unwanted sexual advances, it’s just the fan in me. I loved the show. It was a rare gem.

Politics as a word comes from play acting
So if Frank actually runs for President, should we not vote for him because we have known his evil side. Or should we still vote for his fucking awesome wisdom?

Frank Underwood would still be a way better president for your country than Killary Clinton and Donald Trump

I love the dark and elegant atmosphere of House of Cards, the music and the cinematography is what makes this show great. Together with Kevin Spacey's role of course

@@manemperorofmankind8119 Yeah. It didn't make much sense why he wanted to become president so badly. Like he didn't know what to do after he became one. Did he want to earn money? Did he want to become Reagan? Did he want to get revenge from somebody?

5 of the 6 accusers died and the last one retracted their case afterwords.... I’d hardly call that dropping their case because they were just “lying or exaggerating things to get money”. It was a great show, I agree, but the lack of a good ending is what you get when your lead is a sexual predator

Wow
I know this video is 10 years old. I still crack up every time I see it. 😄
Colonoscopy is vastly under appreciated.
Actually, this show (House of Cards) is so brilliant (As The Tudors, Scandal and all political series) that we now see how actor are the politicians and don't give any shit about common weal.
Because acting, programming and story lines reveal absolute truth? I found HOC to be a very dark, sociopathic take on Washington, a "West Wing" full of sociopaths. I think it's brilliant and very entertaining but it falls a little flat in comparison with the real McCoy. I would argue history, geography, anthropology and geology will give you a more true (probably less sensational) view of where we've been. Simply keeping up with the mundane, horrifically unexciting political current events buried deep under a pop-star scandal will yield more about what is happening now. It's a little scary to formulate opinions and world views based on entertainment.
lol wtf? Don't tell me you watch television shows and think that's how the world works.
JesterMereel House of Cards is very oversimplified and exaggerated version of how Washington nepotism works, but kind of like the new version of Dredd, it gets the broad strokes in the big picture pretty right. I don't say this as some Snowden or some such, just as a poly-sci minor who interned in D.C. at the Capitol for six months. I don't know sh*t, but accurate generalized portrayal of behavior in this show is accurately accurate in its accuracy.
Nirpop Poppers I can agree with that.
Nirpop Poppers As no such insider, I have a hunch that the world we live in offers an infinite amount of realities in which to subscribe. What few we currently and collectively deem 'real' are only such because enough people have agreed in that mode of operation. What is more powerful? Accepting a reality or defining a new one? -- Idealistic and naive, yes but so was the idea of a more perfect union. My point is that: Just because something "is" does not mean it always shall be. Those who guide the vector are the ones who embrace impermanence while advancing the changes they wish to see. As you think, so shall you be.
RIP John McCain, you certainly at least had a sense of humor.

Why are people still blind to the fact that how Frank acts is not that far away from most politicians morally at all, he is just smarter than most of them.
Television shows are for entertainment, not for confirming your half-baked assumptions. If you're looking for facts, educate yourself with facts, not Netflix shows.
JesterMereel That awkward moment where Jester doesn't realize that HBO passing this through producer-greenlight is actually more impressive than most of the writing in the show, which is for the most part a 10/10. That awkward moment where he doesn't appreciate how doubly bad a*s this skit is due to Obama letting this go forward in good humour. There's a lot of shiat that people will say he did wrong, like any President, but his sense of humor is not among them.
