Toneejay's 711 is popular because of its relatable, wholesome, and inspiring / motivating lyrics, and it sounds good. Toneejay is the former vocalist of Munimuni.
I totally agree with everything that you said in this video. There were so many great artist and that’s no. 1 I was disappointed myself. I am currently listening to artist like Arthur Nery, Juan Karlos, Clara Benin, Zack, Ben&Ben, Dilaw, SB19, Nobita,. I could name so much more, but well whatever floats their boat. Philippines has so much more to offer. There are other great HipHop songs too but in my opinion not these. Maybe I’m just not the target demographic for this new urban sounds cause I don’t really connect with it, a lot more teenagers are on social media most of the time so I guess these songs reflects more of their taste and the genre they listen to and I should respect that. I had fun watching you though, your reactions are really funny. 😁
wow , orange and lemons is one of my fave bands.. i 'm thrilled to see them in your video. i have been watching your reaction videos.. hope to see more of them in your videos 😊
22:33 omg man , efra just nails the message of the song just by listening he just guessed it, if only they can understand all the words being said I bet ya they will enjoy ph rap
I love you guys - how you appreciate Filipino talent. You can learn the songs in Tagalog very well because you’re Latinos. The phonetics are the same, except for the “ng” sound.
I find it weird and confusing that these artists garner millions of spotify streams but can't even produce concerts and fill up an arena. Right now, there are only 4 artists in this generation of artists that can sell out concerts: Zack Tabudlo, Ben&Ben, Moira and SB19.
Maybe alot are casual listeners but not a solid fan who doesn’t have a strong connection to the artist. Just like me I listen to different kinds of artists/music/genres depending on my mood but I’m only willing to spend my money on a certain artist. And concerts are expensive even to the artist itself so perhaps they don’t have lots of sponsors.
Most filipinos are casual listeners of filipino music. These bands and music are those they can randomly hear in radio, karaokes or in yt and not like kpop which has streaming culture
This video is uniquely funny because of the edits and the humor both of you have. please keep up these types of content/edits please I LOVE ITTTT!!!! These are the very types of humor that Filipinos have AWESOME. GOODJOB. PANGARAP KO ANG IBIGIN KA HANGGANG SA HULI SISIWWWWWWW
YOW! kudos to the editor of this vid! the memes and the clips and the cuts of your reactions are hilarious hahahahaha Why do I feel like a Filipino edited this vid. or am I just trippin`? hahaha EDIT: Oh, shit I didn`t check the description, the editor is tag BTW hahahah so cool.
this is sooooo fun! im quite proud that i know all of the top 10 songs listed here, though theyre not on my playlists, I hear them everywhere. wale and efra not liking the number 1 hit is the icing on the cake LMFAOOOOO
I'm happy to see you happy because of the reaction to watching the video of the Filipino song because I'm proud to be a Filipino LAKAD MATATAG FILIPINO
You are the only music reactor that I stay up to 12 midnight and beyond so that I can watch your live stream, reaction videos, podcast because I enjoy it so much. I watch almost all your podcast. I cried a lot when you have your conversation with Bugoy, Gary V, and when Rose of Myx interviewed you two. I am 54 yrs old and efra's reactions make me giggle and laugh so hard, while waleska's song analysis and discussions urge me to do some readings and research...I also come to appreciate all music genres and not to stick only to ballads, r & b and alternative rock which is my bias in music..love both of you❤❤❤❤
For me in my opinion the orange & lemon song Heaven Knows is the Number 1. The lyrics and melodies were so good you can understand the meaning and the lyrics even if you are a foreigner. Compared to the Top 1.😊
I think one of the differences between these urban songs and the typical opm songs is the length of the songs. Opm urban songs are a lot shorter than the typical opm songs. Although, from the popular artists of this generation, I prefer the opm music from bands like Ben&Ben, Dilaw, Cup of Joe, Lola Amour, and Sunkissed Lola. As well as songs from singer songwriters like Zack Tabudlo, Arthur Nery, Adie, Maki, JK, and Rob Deniel. I also like Flow G. I think their songs have more timeless appeal, and they have that hints of nostalgia and sentimentality that opm music is highly identified with.
I'm 34 years old and I'm so happy for this generation of my fellow country with no shortage of talent and musicianship, I'm so happy for the youth having this plethora of art🤌👌🫰
Please do some more BINI. Here are some of my recommendations (if you haven't done them yet) since they're doing a comeback with an EP called Talaarawan (Diary) this coming March 8th (Int'l Women's Day): 1. Huwag Muna Tayong Umuwi 2. Pantropiko (Has a performance video) 3. Karera (Has a music video)
Whyyyy I'm so late on this video? This is a different level of energy from this two. Making me feel all the emotion all the way from UK. By the way Efra is making me fall inlove with him everytime he is throwing tagalog words. #kilig
When they said "that's number 1?", we feel you folks. I believe there is a reason why that's number 1, first is that song is so used in tiktok, second is there is a line there with skrr skrr in it, those word play is kinda fire in the Philippines, third is that we know that PH is a third world country, people who are poor here loves these kinds of genre because to them it sounds slick. Thank you for the genuine reaction because that is what reactions are for,
711 became really popular due to it being relatable. The lyrics actually hits hard. The line "Gusto kong ibigay buhay na gusto mo" translates to "I want to give you the life that you want".
Clicked as soon as I saw the thumbnail. I knew you guys would dance to Get Low. It does give off early 2000’s vibe. I think you would also vibe to Lagabog by Skusta Clee.
heaven knows really never gets old, it was like a get to go song of a filipino who got his heart broke like me, i actually played it everyday when i go to work, vibin alone ang when i go to sleep
Love this new content ❤ reminds me of MTV top 10 billboards/MTV charts back in the day 👍🏼 only you guys are a much more entertaining VJs (Video Jocks) 🫶🏼 BRAVO 🎉 pls continue on with this segment 🙏🏼 would be very nice to hear the top 10 from different nations 🤩 P.S. Maybe you can do an UNPLUGGED segment as well 😉 (All Acoustics version)
Please do a reaction video of Universe ticket where Elisia, Gehlee, Jin Hyeonju all three young talented filipinas joined and debuted to be a kpop star, you won't regret it! 😊😊🙏🙏
15:44 There's a 111 dialect in the Philippines and MAYBE she's a Chavacano. "These Spanish creoles are collectively called Chavacano. The Spanish creoles are often divided into two geographical groups: those who are spoken in Luzon and those who are spoken in Mindanao. Due to the popularity of Spanish-based creole languages, many Spanish words are spoken by Filipinos on an everyday basis."
Fcken hell this was super fun! It's clear you guys had a blast putting this together! Really enjoyed this cracked version lol make more of this supercut reactions.. maybe even release the full extended version as an exclusive for your patreons or youtube members!
Thank you. I enjoyed this video a lot. I was laughing and smiling throughout the whole video. I appreciate your honest reactions and you should continue doing it. You siblings are doimg a great job. Keep it up!
These 9 songs are just so great that we got bored and ended up nominating a not-so-much. I felt the list took me to the sky and then left me die falling at the top most one. Ridiculous.
The top charts, it's just they are the most popular right now, just domino effect from 2 hip hop group and flow g, also we dont have tawag ng tanghalan atm😅😅
Such a fun reaction, love the energy and I discovered 7 songs cause of your video so thanks I now have 671 songs on my Spotify 😊 Yeah first time hearing the #1 song but I couldn’t wrap my brain around how that became number 1 no offense to the artist but it’s just not good to be in the chart
You know what I love? Genuine reactions like this. None of that fake stuff for views. Keep it real, guys. Let's see more of this kind of content!
🤮
Of course it's fake. Most of reaction channels are.
@@daghetto101 tbh this reactors doesnt know tagalog they just learned and knows artists from ph because they love reacting to ph music and artists.
The editing made your reaction funnier 😂 im a filipino and i understand Waleska's reaction to the number 1. 😅

haha love your editing and you guys researched on the clips, spot on hahaha😂

Hahahahahaha! The no.1 song reaction is epic! I loooooveeettt. No need for explanations. I have the same reaction too.
Thumbs up! To the editor ! Sick🤛🤛🔊🔊🔊🇵🇭👆

you both have the hearts of the Filipinos

Wow..how do you know for sure?..first of all artists dont produce concerts...
I'm sure even if they don't produce concerts, they make the barrio and barangay rounds and are popular in these areas
Most filipinos are casual listeners of filipino music. These bands and music are those they can randomly hear in radio, karaokes or in yt and not like kpop which has streaming culture
For me, filling up arenas is not the measure of success as an artist..staying relevant is...
You guys are sooo fun!!!😂You are pinoys at heart❤😊
True they are really funny 😂😂 and they know how to pronuons the words of pilipino 😂😂😂.

Philippines used to be conquered by spanish and also there's a place here in PH that speaks "Chavacano" which is a spanish-based creole
its the lyrics, the hook, the play of words and the sound production that made hev abi songs popular.
