The history of Tad Strange is still one of my favorite things to come out of this show 😂😂 For context: before the episode came out, people noticed the name “Tad Strange” listed as a character for one of the voice actors. We had yet to see this character and people were already theorizing that Bill would show up in another form, so this character immediately became some sort of legend in the fandom. During a reddit AMA with Bill Cipher (yes this was real) someone asked about Tad and Bill replied saying that Tad “is a total square”. Needless to say, a lot of fanart of Bill as a square started popping up all over
It's also funny how he's the most normal one out of the bunch while his VA is Cecil from Welcome To Night Vale (and we know what crazy things happen *there*)
One of my favorite jokes from the first episode was "Drats! How did you make it past my ONE guard?!" I quote it all the time it always gives me a good chuckle.
I love the VAs they got for these episodes! For Probabilitor they got Weird Al Yankovic and for Tad Strange they got Cecil Baldwin, who's the voice of arguably the BIGGEST audio drama in the world - Welcome To Night Vale, which is a horror/comedy/surrealist podcast where he plays the mysterious radio host, Cecil.
I think he's kinda projecting his own problems with Stan onto Dipper, albeit unintentionally. Ford has trust issues started from Stan with the college thing, and Bill amplified that trust issues before Ford got stuck in other dimensions.
That’s the chain reaction that they mentioned in the cyphers. As for why he didn’t tell, it’s simply cuz Stanford is not trusting. He was burned once and spent his entire life with a grudge against the one who did it, and even if he had to ask them for help, he refused to trust them even then. He doesn’t trust Stanley or Mabel, despite being family. It’s the cause of their undoing and his major character flaw he needs to get over. He needs to learn to forgive.

Random fandom fact: It's difficult to notice the first time you watch it, but some of the symbols from the circle Gideon draws in the wall are different from the ones Bill's circle has.This inspired fan theories about Bill having a brother, AND THAT'S WERE WILL AND PHILL COME INTO PLACE Will Cipher would be the Bill Cipher from an Au called "Reverse Falls".In this Au, the rolls are reversed, and the personalities completely change(For example, Mabel turns more into a Pacifica, and Gideon turns more into a Dipper).Will would be the opposite of Bill, and he was tricked by Dipper and Mabel into making a deal that would trapped him with them.The poor guy doesn't deserve to live with them :'D Also, I haven't searched a lot about this, but I think the twins drain his magic and Ford experiments with him, but maybe they just use him as a servant.Instead of yellow, he is blue Phill on the other hand is from an Au called "Fight Falls".In here, everyone is much, much more agressive(If I remember correctly, Mabel owned a chainsaw) and well, Phill is not an exception.If Bill is a maniacal psychopath, Phill would be a mad sadist.I think you can get an idea of how horrible his weirdmagedon was...He would be the color red Will would be the most accepted one in the fandom, since some change Phill for a purple guy I don't know much about, or maybe change the name to Kill(I was first introduced to him as Phill, that's why I prefer to kill him like that) but those three are usually the most usual trio to find of you search anything regarding Bill's brothers

I sincerely doubt they’d change the end of season finale of season 1 just cuz someone figured out the twist after they spent so much time foreshadowing it. I also think that theory started making the rounds after season 1 ended as well. They made fun of it cuz someone (Soos) predicted it, but it makes 0 sense for them to make fun of having to change the finale when Hiersh has said he would never change things cuz ppl predict it cuz it would ruin the story, animation takes forever, and they’ve made many deprecating jokes about themselves. Why wouldn’t it be the same way here instead of embarrassing themselves?
Big question i know but would you guys ever consider watching Adventure Time if requested? Incredibly Long and episodic but imo one of the greatest series out there i just noticed you’re watching a lot of great shows like Owl house, gravity falls obviously and you started Amphibia just curious
