I was having a hell of a time getting the slide to function properly. I was shown a different way to run the throttle cable, I feel like an idiot now. Thanks for the detailed video.
I appreciate you taking the time to fully explain everything as you were installing this. I opened the first video that popped up from bikeberry, and they had it all wrong. Their advice was to use thread tape to hold the piece in, where you just showed us how to take the old one off the stock NT carburetor instead. But what really blew my mind was the way they installed the throttle cable onto the slide. Your way was the right way. Their way was completely backward. Again, thank you for a very informative and very descriptive instructional on the correct steps to take. I bought the carburetor on Amazon, so I'm going to leave a review and I will be directing everyone here to your video for instructions on how to properly install it so they don't do what I did and waste a few hours on some other Joker's video
We Thank you!!!! One dude had a blog I watched and the cable he put on the carb was wrong I had to bend it back (cable end) and do it like you showed and it was way better!!!!!! Love the USA
I can't get mine to stop flooding there no way to a just float my had bottom gasket missing I looked line for the gasket only thing I found was nt gasket for 36.00 + 36.00 for shipping other's I really liked the carb
I bought the same one can’t get it to work been trying for almost a week now it was trying to start yesterday but would die as soon as I touch the throttle any ideas on why?
It should have the metal piece on the top. Some of them will have a longer curved pipe on it. There is also an adjustment you can make from there and at the handlebar grip
I've been looking at getting one for my bike, but the plastic intake cover on the original motor had to be cut out to fit on the steel Schwinn frame that I'm using, so I don't think it would fit 😔
@@thetoxictraitor1024 how i fixed the leak on mine was like this. Barely open the valve for gas to get through. So slowly turn the knob until you actually start seeing drips. Once you see stop and look and you’ll probably find its your fuel line. The one i was using was a size up from 3/16. It was too big even with clamps i was still leaking gas. Drop down to a 3/16 fuel line size and no more leaks. If your carb is leaking gas its because the fuel line isn’t set-up right or the bowl is full in which case you need to run it without your fuel line off. I’ve done that it just starts up for a hot min and then dies because it used up all the fuel in its bowl. Don’t forget to turn your gas off so that doesn’t happen

Hi I’m hoping for some help here. I have the high performance carburetor. I took my bike out for a ride and the part that mounts to the engine, it snapped and I’m guessing from the two stroke rattle..has anyone ever had this issue?
Those tabs break every time. I have bought about 4 or 5 of these carbs now. I finally gave up on them. I love the performance though. I have not tried using the billet intake that fits those carbs perfectly. Perhaps one last time with the billet intake.

I use this same carburetor for my Phantom 85, no rejetting or anything, put new life in the motor
The stock ones are just as good.
My stock one bogs at full throttle
Just bought one hopefully it's as good as yall say it is

I changed jets from the stock carb and my engine cuts out at around 50km an hour. Do I need a bigger jet?
Much appreciated -Dylan
It looks like it can tighten on the intake without having any vacuum leaks
You sure air doesn't get sucked in from the throttle top?
@@jordananderson8299 yea
I put it on and the the throttle had more wire left so it was loose

Adds a little bit more air flow to the motor. A lot better quality than stock

Just tried installing this one and leaked gas all over the place idk maybe I got a defective one I have tried everything still leaking
Check your fuel line it might be too big i had to go a size down for mine. Make sure you zip tie the ends to make sure its nice and tight
I’ve bought two now thinking the first one was defective but they have both started leaking gas everywhere, did you ever find a fix for it?

My piece from stock was smaller will that cause high rev at idle?
High rev is from air leak, idle screw, or oil gas mix is off. Most common problem is idle screw is to far in

I have the same HP Carb
What's your idle setting for this carb? I have one but the motor keeps shutting down
Each bike is different. You have to know what you're listening to in order to tune it
Does any one know how u can find the jet needle in these carbs as i cant seem to get them out
Should be in your carb bowl
Seems maybe the guy in the video should watch a few more videos before trying to make a tutorial 🤔.
Thought the same thing when I watched it.
Was this a how to.....Lol
Does anyone know how to adjust the idle on the carby, or the factory setting for the screw? Any help appreciated
In revs up, out revs down.
Cheers thanks
