Imagine if Tua had a 20-30 record and all those turnovers like Trevor Lawrence. Imagine if Tua only had 9 Wins like Jordan Love. Imagine if Tua didnt play well in 2023 and had a season ending injury like Joe Burrow and Justin Herbert. Why would Tua even think about playing a snap on the 5 yr option when he has more Wins than all 4 of them? And more than Lawrence and Love combined. Tua didnt hire a new Agent to jave him play on the 5 yr option Maybe Tua hired a new Agent to make sure he doesnt get a Fluffy Fake Money Deal like Omar is suggesting. Tua isnt going to blink. I don't understand anybody throwing the kind of money to any of these athletes MLB NBA NFL whatever it's just gotten to the point that it just takes so much away from the sport in the competition in the pride and all of the great stuff about professional sports and money just takes that away now
And I don't care how good a player is the kind of money that's being put in these young men's bank accounts they can't match that because if they could everybody would have Super Bowl rings
It's wrong to put a player's value in a money type of format it's always about the athlete and how he can perform money ain't got nothing to do with that because a lot of these great NFL Stars NBA stars MLB Stars they were good way before they turned professional some of these cats could whoop your tail on a ball court or field when they were 14

I don't believe the O-line play will be any better than last year at best. Terron will get hurt again, everyone else also seems to be injury prone. The starting line for this year is slightly worse than the starting line for last year. Hunt and Conner's replacements are downgrades and the backups are pretty much the same as last year. The skill positions are upgrades until injuries start showing up. The skill players are on the lighter side and have shown to wear down in the second half of the season. Defensively, the Phins may be a little better once Chub and Philips get back in the lineup. Injuries will determine how far the Phins go. All was going 'well' until players started to fall by the wayside last year. Tua needs to make players better just like Brady and Mahomes are able to do on a regular basis. Tua will need to run a little more and keep his mistakes down. McDaniel needs to give Tua more time to audible- shorten those play names, and manage the play calling a little better. That means to make sure all of the skill players are viable options, not just Hill and Waddle.
I like smith and lamb at tackle for depth. Just need 1 more piece a guard is a must and I think they know that. I’ve got some info that says they are still shopping

IMO, Tua is an average QB who has one of the talented teams around him in the league and the Dolphins front office knows they can replace him. They are right.
This is a billion dollar business, if they actually thought he was average they would never entertain an extension with him and would have went after Cousins or someone else in this 2-3 window we are in. It's really common sense.
