    • @secrets.295
      @secrets.295 4 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      @Papyrus Okagbue Its not legal. Its illegal for an adult to hv sex with a minor in Malaysia. The youngest marriage age for girls or boys is 16 (Bare in mind that that is the same legal age marriage im the US provided u hv parental permission). There is a dual systems, for non muslims its 18, for muslims its 16. In some curcimstances the court may grant for marriages below 16, but the case is extremely2 rare. I have not known one person that has been married under the age of 18 let alone 16. And I work as an Insurance adjuster for years where I travel all over Malaysia, going from cities to towns to rural areas and I have met thousands of peoples from different background and cultures, I've never even seen one ridiculously young girl who r married. Its definitely not an epidemic. The current Malaysian government is pushing for new laws to make it illegal for child marriage under the age of 18 no matter what the circumstances and I wouldnt be surprised if we achieved it in the next few years. Time have changed. Child marriage used to be the norm, it isnt anymore. The women these days are very ambitious, they occupy more seats in the university than men and you could actually see more and more women getting manegerial position. 47% of the workforce in Malaysia are women mostly full time workers as part time jobs are extremely rare in Malaysia. So if u want to make some stupid silly comments please come here first or at least make sure ur fucking research is accurate.

    • @secrets.295
      @secrets.295 4 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      @Papyrus Okagbue "Malaysia has a dual legal system, which means that the minimum age of marriage can be determined by either civil law or Syaria (Islamic) law. Non-Muslims may only marry from the age of 18, but girls can be married as early as 16 provided they or their parents have the permission of the State Chief Minister. The minimum age of marriage is 16 for Muslim girls and 18 for Muslim boys. Crucially, exceptions can be made for girls or boys to marry at a much younger age as long as they obtain Islamic courts’ consent.[19]"
      en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Children%27s_rights_in_Malaysia
      Which is exactly what I said. IT IS ILLEGAL U RETARDED SCUMBAG. Im not a liar. I speak facts. U r the liar here. U dont get to come here and try to paint a bad picture on my country especially when ur comments are FACTUALLY WRONG. Its not even legal. Let alone, as in your words GLORIFY child marriage. There is some people that still wants they child to marry early (mostly in rural areas). But then again no country is perfect. Even in America in the state of Utah there are still some people in the farm condoning child marriage. They called it as the mormon people. Does that means Americans glorify child marriages. Absolutely not, definitely not after considering its such a small percentage of the population. Same with us. There is some small percentage of people who live in the rural area (who probably doesnt have access to education to begin with) where child marriages is still a norm. But 99% of us in malaysia r against it. Everybody want the best education & future for their kids, boys and girls. If u want to make that 0.000001% of people living in some remote parts of Malaysia and straight away potray us as a country that glorifies child marriage. Then u r incredibly stupid. Like I said, u hv never even step a foot into this country. Dont come up with such idiot comments.

    Qeeilo60, welcome to Malaysia.
    Malaysia is a multiracial country, with a Malay majority.
    In Sarawak, the racial composition is different, with Christian Iban people in the majority. I encourage you to visit Kuching, Sarawak,which is a city of harmony, and land of the hornbill birds. There is also an amazing orang-utan santuary which is less than 45 minutes by car from the city.
    There are very few homeless people in Malaysia. Those you see washing their laundry are probably the foreign workers working in the country. Malaysia have more than 5 millions foreign workers, who are employed mainly in the construction, manufacturing, service and plantation industries.
    Blessings. Stay safe and enjoy life.

Explore the Malays food and customs, their village traditional houses, their dances, their traditional clothes. Not just exploring the overly multicultural cities like Kuala Lumpur. KL does not entirely represent the true essence of Malaysia. And please visit the Borneo part of Malaysia. You will experience our Malaysians value there.

      There's almost no smoking areas in the public. People just find a corner or a bin with ashtray to smoke outside because starting 1st Jan 2020 indoor smoking is banned especially at eatery. Still can smoke in the pub if they didn't serve food though.

      There are still inconsiderate smokers that smoke around non-smoking people in the open area or while walking around with non-smoking people.

I have been to China and I am amazed by the transformation there but I would never think to live there my whole life. I even sacrificed opportunity to go and work in developed countries just because I can't bear to leave this country. I had stayed for many months in other countries where life is of better quality than ours but somehow, when you come back home, the feeling is a sense of security and relief. There are no doubt many Chinese who have left this country and lived elsewhere. That's their choice. But you never know why and how they feel when they had to make this decision. But I am very sure, it will always be a hard decision to make.

It has been invaded by foreign migrant workers from South Asia and other seedy elements you had seen there. 2) Islam is the official religion in Malaysia and it's one of the mission of the Malaysian government to heavily promote and protect it. 3) The majority of the Malays and Indians in Malaysia used hand to eat rice and not the local Chinese.
