I love watching you folks, hi from Selmer, Tennessee. I think it's great that Sabaton wrote a song about Tennessee's favorite son, Alvin York! You said it would be great for history teachers to use Sabaton to teach history in schools. Well, there are several teachers who have said they do! As far as what to play next, why don't you try "En Livstid I Krig". This is a live concert video in Sweden and it is in Swedish but it has subtitles, it will knock your socks off! Other suggestions might be Soldier of Heaven, Seven Pillers of Wisdom, Price of a Mile, and the list could go on. Look forward to seeing you again.

Representing Sabaton Squad...coming at you you stuff you didn't know you wanted to learn... The Swedish Skeptics Association aearded Sabaton with their Public Educator Of The Year in 2022! Currently the award us "under review" by the Association bc bassist Par Sundstrom made some comment in 2016 about Crimea that bunched up someone's panties... the whole thing is a huge nothing-burger... yet, the issue has not been settled...and most believe the body of Sabaton's work absolutely deserves an award!

My 2nd Great Granduncle John George Painter was from Jackson County, Tennessee and he fought in WWI and he lived until he was 112 years old.
In 1917, at age 29, he enlisted in the United States Army. As a part of Battery D in the 115th Artillery Battalion, he hauled ammunition and artillery supplies, including field guns, transporting all the supplies on horses or mules. Painter saw action at the Meuse-Argonne Offensive. Eighty days after the armistice was declared on November 11, 1918, Painter received the highest French honor, the Légion d'honneur award. He also received the Croix de Guerre and was one of only six Tennessee World War I veterans to be awarded the Tennessee Distinguished Award. Painter had to leave his son, Sean Humphrey Painter, when he went to war. He was discharged from service on April 12, 1919, after serving in the army for two years

I love this song, but it's interesting to note that this song contains one of the only instances of Sabaton getting a historical fact wrong in the lyrics of a song.
They say he was assigned to the "338th" Infantry Regiment but this isn't true, he was assigned to the 328th Infantry Regiment. It's a very minor mistake, but worth pointing out. Thankfully, they do fix this and sing "328th" when performing the song live.
It goes to show though, how much research and effort Sabaton put in, that accidentally swapping a 2 for a 3 was the biggest mistake they've made in their lyrics...
