YAY LIGHT WEEK!! Marvy idea!! Now I REALLY want to charge mine up and maiden but breezy usually!! Thanks Saylors for revisiting this VERY UNIQUE fun flyer!! 💟👍😘
Awesome was watching the video with my seven year old little girl. She was ready to try flying an r/c. Used your link and have one on the way. Thank you for taking the time to make your videos.
That is extremely awesome Adrian! Our daughter thinks it looks like a butterfly flying 😁 Just remember, it flies EXTREMELY well and is super easy to fly, but it is delicate. If she gets excited and runs towards it, just pick it up from the frame and very carefully. You are both in for a very fun treat! 👍⚓
"Now if you're a speed junky, and you need your jets going over a 100mph... I'm gonna' say you should get one of these anyway." Nice. That's good advice, that's good reviewing. Sub'd. PS. Good flying, too. Lots of nice, slow flying which is what it's made for.
Very cool. I had the opportunity to pick one up from FB market place the other day for 50 bucks. Wish I had bought it also now. I did get 4 BNP cubs all new but one. It had been crashed but easily repaired with hot glue. Abby, your pilot is in with a backorder. My receivers should be in stock in a couple weeks, then your blond headed lady pilot will come.
I've got one of the predecessors to this, the Ember 2, that I've had for 6 or 7 years. I still enjoy taking it out and hovering into a light head wind. It's a blast to get it 100 feet up and see how long you can glide it with no throttle.
I wanted to take the time and thank you for the great videos. As a new comer to the hobby, you have given such a wide selection of budget planes. Thank for all you do.
Far and away my most flown and favorite plane. Almost anyone can fly this plane. Its fantastic late night or at 0:dark:30. With no wind it will fly straight, hands off, forever. I can get 35 mins out of a 200 mah battery easy. Flys great on 150 mah batts. Going to buy a second one to put back for future use.
I keep considering this one for my "fly in the house and in the front yard" collection (currently mini-whoop quads). I might have to pull the trigger. And you always promise a flight time in the description, and you never remember! :D
I love ships that fly this slowly. I'm currently attempting to convert a 40g rubber-power biplane into slow-flying electric rc for those windless evenings when you want something special to fly against the sunset.
I remember my first light plane when I was a kid.. although it didn't come with a radio/controller, it was one of those rubber band powered planes. First time I went to Schaefer's Hobby in Mo., (Because of my Deadbolt... THANKS! Love that thing) I was surprised that there still around! Lots of old fashioned toys just ain't seen anymore.
Love the lights on that little plane! Great way to start your "light week" - complete with some lightning. What is the smallest drone you have? Any light weight cars or crawlers? Thank you for all the fun.
That thing is awesome and i think you convinced me to order one. Ive been looking to branch out from ground vehicles and drones and this looks like a good place to start! Keep up the great work, love the vids!
Night Light Flight (with a kite) Week? As usual, you're pointing me to new purchases. I have flown Vectored Kites with lights on at night. They're cool too. Excellent work A & N!!!!
I may be late to this party, but I LOVE 'Light flight week" idea! And yeah, as one other person said, a shame they discontinued the smaller version of this plane, I'd buy one in a heartbeat!
It's kind of a love hate relationship with me and your channel 😂 I love it because I see always such nice planes on the other side I hate it because I want them all but I am broke 😂😭
Wow that plane is just amazing. Such a cool plane,. I think it still would be a good beginner. And those lights are gorgeous. Love this review and what a great field to fly in and it did fly better than the first video or maybe cause it was in a larger field. Awesome job guys
Picked one of these up at my closest local hobby shop in Tahoe after watching your videos on em. Pretty cool. Putting in the air tomorrow ! 👌👍 Thanks for the reviews. Really appreciate it. You guys are my go-to RC advisory. 👌Rock on.
The reason why: so it isn't SO fast and uncontrollable. You need it slow enough to where you can relax and chill while flying it. You could also admire it much easier while flying.
I’m seriously considering getting this thing, mainly because the only RC planes I ever flown are two channel, and they weren’t that fun to fly at all. This one can do some stunts, looks cool, and can be flown literally anywhere
All planes should have lights period!!! I'm starting to sound like a broken record... but it's true. My Night Vapor has the highest cool factor of all my planes. And it is because of the the lights. On a calm night I can have it 200 feet in the air and see it perfectly. 200 feet is very high and she loves it up there. PS. Don't try 200 feet unless you're willing to lose it forver.... I didn't lose mine but I was prepared in case.
Lost my umx radian like that haha so much updraft full down elevator would not come down lol. A homeless mad literally stopped me on the trail 2 months later and was like weren't you the one who was looking for a little white rc plane lol I got it back couldn't believe it it was a half mile from where I was flying and went all the way accross the Arkansas River lol
In theory, yes. Current generation Spektrum products use the DSMX protocol, which the TX16S multi-protocol transmitter “supports”. That said, unless you already own the TX16S, I’d lean toward an actual Spektrum transmitter for best compatibility, if you can swing it. The DSM protocols are proprietary and, as far as I know, Spektrum has not published the technical details. Third-party implementations (Deviation, OpenTX, etc.) are based on reverse-engineering the protocols, and come with the disclaimer that the RE’d versions may be incomplete and/or contain bugs. Personal anecdote: I encountered frequent failsafes with third-party DSMX quads paired to a genuine Spektrum Tx; they worked flawlessly once I paired them to a Jumper multi-protocol Tx (running Deviation). Never tried pairing a genuine Spektrum receiver with a third-party DSMX Tx - never had a reason to, since I already had a genuine Spektrum Tx on hand - so I can’t say if the interoperability is better in that direction. Hope that helps!
@@BurgerurgerFPV I’m not 100% sure. Looks like the Vapor uses an all-in-one control board, and I suspect you’d end up having to replace all of its components (receiver, ESC, servos, etc.). In doing so, you’d lose the SAFE/AS3X features of the Spektrum Rx, unless your replacement receiver has equivalent features. If your objective is to minimize cost, I’d say the smart route is to spend the extra $30 on the RTF package (instead of the BNF version). Then you have everything you need (including a basic Spektrum transmitter), you know it works, and you don’t have to go through a bunch of DIY headaches cobbling together a Frankenstein version.
@@chadpollman7970 that’s true but i think i still might get the bnf and just try and bind it to my tx16s. You said it’s pretty hit and miss when trying to bind tho?? Like i might not get it to bind? The version of DSM on my remote is V1.3.1.36 and i also have DSM RX with V1.3.3.36 if that helps you know if it will bind
I am thinking about getting one and I came across your reviews. I saw some complaints about the price and on one hand I get it. It probably cost a manufacture $10 to make. However, I'm far from old but was in the hobby as a teen 30 plus years ago and for the cost / performance even something like this was science fiction back in the day. Also I love the channel, thanks for putting out great content.
Dusting off the old gear and was wondering if I got the BNF version of this if it would work with my DX6i transmitter from about 2012 or am I better off retiring it and getting something new.
I actually let her "control" the right stick with me off camera and she had a blast watching it fly around our yard! I was insanely impressed with it's flight time 👍😁😎⚓
Just got one through your link. This will be the perfect thing to take to work and fly in either the ambulance bay or the ems station parking lot. I work 24 hour shifts but am not always on a call so having something so versatile will be tons of fun! I may have missed it in the video but what battery are you using in yours? I see both the 150 and the 70 mah offered on the site. I have everything from 125-250 mah. I know this thing wants to stay light! Excellent video!
If I were to buy the Aeroscout S2 (whichever one is the newest one), would I buy it from Horizon Hobby? I really want to get back into rc plane flying because my previous plane is not nearly as good as the Aeroscout. And the Aeroscout would be a perfect plane for learning how to fly! :)

I love that little thing. I've probably replaced the prop assembly a half dozen times. I crash less often now, thankfully.
Good to know it can hold up to some crashes! Awesome little airplane for the yard or just about anywhere 👍😁😎⚓
