  • This is one of the most overlooked upgrades when it comes to RTR Bashers!
    There is way more to an RC Car than speed alone and handling plays a massive part in determining how good an RC car can be!
    So many including myself neglect one of the most important things in an RC car and with a very simple upgrade so much more performance can be had!
    Check out Savox here: savox-servo.co...
    This is the servo i used: www.savoxusa.c...

    This is an upgrade that should never be overlooked as it adds so much to an RC cars performance!

    If you are looking for better handling and more responsive steering a new Savox Steering servo could be the way to go! Do you run an upgraded servo? Are you still using RTR Servos? Do you think they are a worthwhile investment? Let me know :)

    i agree, its not all about top speed, but slow cars usually have poor air control and feel lazy to drive. lots of controversy about this car, so ive just got myself one, not driven it yet though

      I agree Kev. Thought about it after that vid and felt it had a little more to give. Would definitely recommend the 15t pinion or 17t if you are brave lol. The tyres are very firm and that didn’t help the air control either. It was so much better after the upgrades

      I can't wait also, kev to see your video on it. I absolutely love my Kagama 4 and I think a lot of the controversy comes from a lot of haters i only love anything that says Arrma or Traxxas on the side of it. Keep it up with the great content. Your channel is single-handedly got me back into RC after 30 years.

    The back flips are the best all-terrain tire. I have them on my 6S Kagama and at one time on my Xmaxx. Very strong glue bead, cushiony as well but not too much. My personal opinion, but diff tuning and shock oil are very important as well and cheap.

  • @malsmith2012
    @malsmith2012 10 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา +2

    Back flips are awesome! Best tyres for the Kraton.. I run the 4S BFon on my daughter's Sketer but I did need hex extenders. I think that 4S KAGAMA would look better with some hex extenders as well..
    I've got 5 Corally rigs and I'd absolutely recommend tightening the servo saver as most of mine were extremely loose and you'll not get the benefit of that servo upgrade if the saver is too loose.. Love Corally rigs and the company have been great to deal with.. Cheers..

    I've never liked this Kagama. I thought it was the speed, but now, after seeing it's Punisher brother, I realize, the Kagama has a major case of butter face...

    Ppl complaining about buying upgrades but half the fun is upgrading and working on them then giving them a run with new parts.

    With most of my RTR's I'm pretty pleased with the steering servos. They're not the best, but they get the job done. When racing, only the best will do. I ran Savox in all my race rigs and loved them! (Even if they're super power hungry!)

    Another amazing brand is the agfrc servo, mostly HV servos fully programmable with usb adapter. I recently got for 50 euros a BRUSHLESS servo.... compared to a standard one the speed, the precision and the torque provided (also they are virtually indistructible and will never go bad) is on another level.

  • @scaleworksRC

    Yep, I don't even think about a servo unless there's an issue normally. I know Spektrum servos are hit or miss, so out of caution.. I upgraded the servo in the BJ24. It's way stronger than the stock unit and solved the drifting issue doing speed runs

    DS servos are my go to, you've got to get the DS PRO version though because they're faster.!
    They're really durable, (I've had some for years), 100% waterproof, cheap as chips(£14) & have a load of torque(25kg to 35kg)!

    Changing the Fluid in the Diffs & SUSPENSION OIL. can Help , along with a Faster Stronger steering servo.
    While Some i wouldn’t bother with .
    What does get over looked is tyres most people want Uniform looks same on front as the rear .
    But for racing depending on your driving style, you may want to play around with Grip levels front and rear. And you may find different brand tyres with different treads and softness work well . And Again Tuning it for Doing 100mph , Tuning it to go 40ft in the Air. Or tuning it for Tight cornering .
    I personally like a little initial Understeer with enough power to kick the rear end out mid corner .
    My mate prefers a very twitchy car but steady out of the corner . A little less power on a loose dirt track can be faster in a Lap

    I use the China special eco boost servos. Cheap fast and powerful. I run the servo saver with minimal play about 1 mill travel and they seem to hold up to the abuse.

      @brianlangford7278 14 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา +1

      Yeah but for any rc car of any type you want it to perform well,and be durable,which means a little bit of $,so for instance I have $800 in my 2wd slash and in 3 yrs of lots of use wrecks hitting trees,I've only bent a couple shocks,one hub,couple few pinions,normal, so is what it is if you don't wanna spend time fixing it all the time unfortunately almost every car,truck needs something in a rtr

    With all those upgrades that you need to put in that thing, you might as well buy a different RC for that price. Let alone the Kagama 6s itself is already expensive.
    I feel like you're getting paid to "defend" this controversial rc. #justmy2cents
