Enjoying the series! I think your pacing is just right. I would probably play a little faster if I were to play for myself, even If am kinda new to Dom 5 with under 100h, but it is valuable too listen to your reasoning for doing certain things since I still have to restart games sometimes because i mess up the expansion too badly early on, because i am not careful enough.
As for now, i'm gonna watch your videos as i tried long ago dominion series and the thing i hate about this game is not the graphics but the lack of control during battle. Strong words for strong feelings.
1:11 Do-it-yourself DisplacerBuffalos. 17:56 She is probably going to bless herself too. So technically you need three casts. 19:24 Yep. Multi-Move can be very useful. It can also lead to you attacking enemies with a single mage because you forgot to stop the movement command after an enemy snatched the province up. XD Or some similar silly stuff. Definitely has to be used carefully. Great for scout movement though. 25:00 Not getting those crossbows? 25:57 Wow. Check pot with that site! 26:06 Well, looks like you found your Wailing Wind caster. That's probably worth putting a fort there. 33:49 The glamor should help a bit against barbarians, right? Haven't had that interaction before. 38:01 We don't mind. Sub 30 minute videos are overrated anyway. :)
Ah.. you know, I'd passed up on that site for now as I thought the Sorceresses might be a bit of a crap-shoot to get what I want but now you've reminded me about Wailing Winds I think that's gonna be a target of mine. Wailing Winds will probably be a game winning spell against the AI, unless it knows how to counter it.
I kinda think about an hour is long enough for a video (no one wants a Dominions tiktok but breakpoints are good and so is not 'losing your place') but there's no reason you can't put out more than one per day.@@battlemode Little surprised you haven't built more temples but I last played Dom 4 and even then only a few games so that's more likley to be my mistake than yours.
Greetz back! Err... DasTactic's more on that kinda thing, perhaps check his videos out. As far as I know modding Dominions isn't dreadfully difficult, I know plenty of people who do it.
No modding tools are needed aside from a text editor (such as Microsoft Word or Notepad ++) and a graphics-creation program (such as GIMP or Microsoft Paint). ;)
I don't see any that other nations don't have, they get Lions, Elephants, Buffalos and Tigers... there might be more I am missing but think they're supposed to be a Glamour heavy communion nation
Ok so I consulted with a friend who knows the game better than me, and he said "Expand with Lady Knights" and this is probably the best way to do it, now I've tested it. I think these ladies will be fine in MP at expansion, particularly with the improvements to mounted troops now.
Yeah, heavy cav is usually good with expansion. I also know that in Dom5 you could expand with around 7 Tuatha Warriors against 30-40 indies and the tuatha would win, and the feminie sacreds are pretty similar to them. This was with a stat bless to attack and defense. Won't do well against crossbows though. Bringing archers (with knights or the sacreds) against crossbows or barbarians will help a lot.
31:36 This shows the veiled ones performing pretty well when outnumbered 3 to 1 against that heavy infantry. They don't have as good of a defense skill as tuatha, but their armor is better and they hit harder, so I do think small groups of them can expand as long as they don't get annihilated by crossbows.
@@battlemode I find in general the stronger the unit is individually, the better it does at expanding against indies, where the goal is winning while minimizing attrition. It seems intuitive to start off the game by making cheap regular infantry to fill out your ranks, but they are usually more geared toward trading cost-effectively in big battles against other factions, I think, you actually want to bring out your most expensive elites from the beginning, quickly force the indies to rout, and hopefully lose zero of your own units. I'd also suggest being careful using archers and melee troops together, it's another thing that seems intuitively like the right thing to do, but especially when fighting small groups of weak indies, your archers can wind up doing more damage to your own troops with friendly fire than they do to the enemy.
@@xeroprotagonist I think that's generally good advice. I think at some point playing multiplayer I started having to rely on expanding with very basic troops, usually because I'm trying to expand far and fast, and I forget the simple stuff in doing so.
I'm really enjoying your way of playing and showing us how you do stuff. It's really useful for someone who is learning!
Great to hear, I'm hoping more people will be able to get into the game as a result! Thanks for letting me know, much appreciated
I enjoy the flow of your game play it's relaxing to watch and listen to
Thanks for letting me know! Sounds like people are enjoying this format, same style as I do with Conquest of Elysium
I'm excited for this game to release. Enjoying your series so far!
Thanks, I like making it, more to come!

Delicious! Thanks!
enjoying this very much! Came to the channel for Shadow Empire, will stay here for a whole bunch of stuff I guess =)
That's great! Loads more incoming this weekend!
Thanks
Hey, thank you so much for that John! Very kind of you, I really appreciate it.
@@battlemode no problem, really enjoy your stuff and looking forward to getting dominions 6.

Thanks very much for the feedback, I tend to play very quickly when I play myself but I'm trying to slow down a bit.
Are there less independent crossbowmen in LA now? I am surprised we have not seen any yet...
No there are lots of crossbowmen usually, I think I got lucky so far.
As for now, i'm gonna watch your videos as i tried long ago dominion series and the thing i hate about this game is not the graphics but the lack of control during battle. Strong words for strong feelings.
That's cool! The autobattler is not for everyone but it is the game's best feature IMO!
9:28 look like the citizens need to be reminded of theirs province and chill a bit

Does these gals get any national spells/summons?
I don't see any that other nations don't have, they get Lions, Elephants, Buffalos and Tigers... there might be more I am missing but think they're supposed to be a Glamour heavy communion nation
Trinkets are not the best items -they're just the best items you can have (at this stage).
If I said that, I must have been very over excited to hit the dizzy heights of Const 1
Expansion seems horrible for the Fiery Ladies
