This video shows the building process of my new balsa airplane, the BushBeast2. Flight video here: • First flights of the B... And here: • Evening aerobatics wit... My website: axelsdiy.brinke...
You are a master builder. I have never seen better. Such a balsa frame is near perfect. I hope the flying experience was as nice as the build. Build on!
So straight and precise. Very nice all around. After falling to foam years ago, this makes me want to break out the balsa to build with, again. Are plans available? On to flight videos.
The build quality is excellent! It really seems over-built, but that would be a good thing for a bush plane. You need to work on your covering technique though. All in all I give this 8 of 10 stars. Well done.
Sorry. I don't have any plans for it. Other than the simple paper-template you can see in the video for placing the wing ribs for example. There is no download available.
Guillows has some models that work nicely for rc conversion. Only down side is you have to design and engineer some items to make it work for rc. Plenty of videos on the subject. One of my favorites is from jagedpanther. I'll find a link of his guillows rc conversion videos and post it to your comment. Unfortunately kits are becoming harder and harder to find due to most people my age "30" and younger don't have the patience and love for building as I do.
I was unable to share a link or maybe I just couldn't figure an easy way to copy and paste it in but his TH-cam channel for guillows builds is under Jagdpanther9 . I hope this helps you out. If the guillows toy don't care for Dumas also has some approx. small 36" wingspan balsa kits designed for rc. Hope this helps.
It means that the plane is built from raw materials: strips and sheets of balsa wood in this case. It is not a kit of any type. In this case, I have even designed the model myself, but it can be called a scratch build even if the plane was built using plans that someone else made.
I am not sure I understand your question. But if you are wondering about the covering film, I use "Oracover". You can get it in most model hobby shops that sells balsa and other building materials.
Maybe, but I like my planes to be sturdy and robust. Less risk of handling damage that way. The plane is actually pretty lightweight for its size anyway.
That plane is gorgeous. So well built, and the video quality and close-ups are exceptional.
That is some of the neatest work I have seen - built like a tank, and still beautiful - looking forward to the maiden. Well done!
wow bushbeast2 is beautiful ✌
Very nice work! Strong but heavy.
Gotta say, flying a balsa plane feels much better than a foam plane.
Yes. I totally agree. Personally, I stopped flying foamies a few years ago. Foamies are a great alternative for some people, but not for me.
Beautifully built with every joint in place, you cannot beat traditional construction there is something about it.

Thanks!
❤fine and efficient work

Very heavy duty plane and great job building it looks awesome! Thanks.
I learnt a lot from that video.

The best video of 2017.greetings from Spain
The best video of 2017. A greeting from Spain.
Excellent job!!! Don't you use glue? I don't see any signs of glue... what's the secret?? Congratulations!!
I use ordinary wood glue. (PVA glue). I only use as much as is needed and usually wipe off any access before it dries.
great job but am wondering what tools u have got ??
Loved the build had to turn the sound off!
Beautiful build....lovely and clean. My balsa joints are always stained with PVA or cyano.
Thanks!
Does everyone stick their pins right through the balsa? Not pressed against each side?
Hello! Where can I download a free template plan for this aircraft? I really need your help because it is needed for my aircraft skeleton project
Sorry. I don't have any plans for it. Other than the simple paper-template you can see in the video for placing the wing ribs for example. There is no download available.
Очень хорошее видео, всё наглядно и понятно, спасибо!
for the next try to use transparent film

It is perfect

Excellent presentation, how does it fly?
Thanks. I think it flies very well. Check out the flight video, link in the description.
Im trying to find a warbird kit this size in balsa. Any ideas?
Sorry, but I don't have any recommendations. I am not much into warbirds or kit building.

hi what does mean "scratch" built please. (Sorry I'm not English )
It means that the plane is built from raw materials: strips and sheets of balsa wood in this case. It is not a kit of any type. In this case, I have even designed the model myself, but it can be called a scratch build even if the plane was built using plans that someone else made.
Thanks for your fast answer. Then I've made several "scratch build" without knowing it ;)))
Muito lindo
What kind of material do you stick to a plane?
I am not sure I understand your question. But if you are wondering about the covering film, I use "Oracover". You can get it in most model hobby shops that sells balsa and other building materials.
Plane pless frind
the video was really bad tiring, instead of showing long text, if fundamental and just to fill sausage
Wing looks heavy and overbuilt for an electric.
Maybe, but I like my planes to be sturdy and robust. Less risk of handling damage that way. The plane is actually pretty lightweight for its size anyway.
Ya cause some random viewer knows so much more about a plane that he's never seen, held, or anything.
what,no flite or flite review WTF
The test flight is in another video here: th-cam.com/video/32qkHcK4tQY/w-d-xo.html
I have updated the video description with links to flight videos.
much more beautiful without the skin
Wonder how it would look with clear skin?
