*Monitor the vital signs and o2 saturation continuously
*Establish iv line
*Administer Oxygen therapy if needed
*Toxicology screening by blood and urine
*check abdominal girth
*Remove dentures if any
*keep emergency medication bed side
*position patient in semifowlers position
*restrain pt if needed
*arrange the articles for gastric lavage
*Explain the procedure to patient
*Follow the hospital policies
