I bought a fixie from this shop when I lived in Taiwan. Hao is one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet. The whole community around this shop is amazing too.
My first road bike as an adult was Taiwan made. Some sweet older ladies had a bike Saint Tropez from the mid 80's, they gifted to me. I have had this bike for about 10 years and love this bike. Many many miles have been ridden on it. More recently in effort to get others in to biking I have been using this as a loaner bike. It has held up very well. Thank you for making this video.
Thank you, Zach, for posting this. Hao-Hsiang, I wish you all the success that you clearly deserve, sir. i would love to visit your shop, and tour your beautiful island. But unfortunately, my age and finances are against me. Good luck to you.
It's my dream to visit this shop. Florida has no fixed gear culture hardly anywhere and this shop looks beautiful. Not to mention the scenery of Taiwan is breath taking. One day I will see this shop. 🙏
There was iMiNUSD fixed gear shop in San Jose, it was the best in bay area, but had to close their doors, shut down the operation, oh how time has change, keep up the good word... He had an engine 11 shirt, say what, that's legendary
You gotta love being around and wrenching on bikes otherwise you fall into the trap of any small business trying to compete without the means to do so. Some of the most fulfilling and enjoyable time I've had were wrenching in a little unknown bike co-op for the community.
Visited this shop at the end of 2019. Didn't meet the owner but a staff/team member who goes by "Rocky" (appears in some shots of the video) and he was great. Dope store, I'll be ordering more online from them.
Hey Zach, hey everyone! I've tried a fixed gear and wanted one really bad. Finally, I'm able to afford one, but the problem is I live in Russia so I can't spend more than 400-450 dollars (our national currency is devaluating really hard). The best fixie bikes in my price range here are fuji bikes, and the only model in stock now is 2020 Declaration. I've heard nothing bad about it except hi-ten steel and bad freewheel, but I've also read that hi-ten steel can be different depending on price range, so I don't expect it to be that bad. Also, freewheel is not a problem for me because I've decided to go fixie anyway. My question is: which cons does the bike have except from being overpriced? What to modify first? P.S. used market is not an option for me, because there is high chance of stumbling upon a stolen one here
When can we expect the world to get back to bike production? Do you have any contacts with insights? I’m particularly trying to get a surly steamroller frame. Next problem is I’m 6’5 and need their largest 62cm. Thanks man love the content!
I would love to make a trip out just to ride with the crew. Maybe you guys can collaborate on organizing a multiday group ride hitting all of the best spots for riding and Food
Question: i own an aventon fixed gear bicycle but i had it set up as a sigle speed with a swept back handle bars with 2 brakes. I have a fixed gear bicycle shop relatively near but im afraid to go inside or visit it since i have heard there are allot of ellitsm amongst fixed gear riders. Is it ok to wheel in as a single speed commuter? My frame might be fake or not. Im not sure since im new to cycling in general
There is elitism but not with everyone, who knows you might face more elitism at a non-fixed gear shop, you'll never know until you find out and go, you might find really friendly people and it might encourage you to get into fixed riding OR encourage you to do what you enjoy.
Just go there and find out if they’re worth your money. If they don’t treat you right, you gained at least the experience and never have to deal with them again. Who knows, the shop owner may already know that a good customer is a returning customer and he’ll treat you right. To me, you’re ok. I do everything on my single speed. I have a flipflop hub but I don’t even have a fixed cog on it. Single speed only and I do everything on it: From long rides to trips to the nearest supermarket.
His opinion is that derailleurs suck because he's had a bad time with them, you probably want to ask like GCN or something cuz that all Zach's gonna say
How is that there is almost no helmets and lights in fixed gear videos? Is this some sort of appology to irresponsability? Fixed gears are not cheap anymore, plus no breaks at all. Why someone with a sense of responsability will promote a culture of passing red lights, no helmets, no lights and risky stunts? Public space for cycling come with responsability.

Seems like a good dude, God bless him.

What a nice guy, he has the passion
A good composition of FAQ and story telling, really liked to listen to Hao. Great Video! 👍 Wish him all luck and success.

You should come back to Singapore to ride with us during the next MMR
Nice and interesting video! Thanks!

wouldn’t mind having some Faith Gear merch!!
Love content like this 👌👌
He’s still your buddy after how you roasted the leader bike from his shop in your bikecheckvid?
We're buddies. He knows how to take a joke.
Do they have a website in English and that ships to Los Angeles, CA? I really want to buy from them.
After this pendemic I'm going to Taiwan to by my dream fixe gear. Where is your shop

Nice bro
😂 Dude immediately starts talking about Zach's Wabi frame
It was one of the interview questions from a viewer
faith gear should be in sg too 🙃🙃
I still cant pop a wheelie on my fixie 😔
Try wearing a helmet, elbow pads, and install a rear brake. You also might need to lower your seat. You can’t do a wheelie if you’re scared.
I love it.
Faithgear is so cool
Do a your opinion on other bikes video (road bike , mountain bike etc.)
His opinion is that derailleurs suck because he's had a bad time with them, you probably want to ask like GCN or something cuz that all Zach's gonna say
The enterprise is successful
I feel my local bike shop guy just wants to sell me stuff instead of giving me knowledge.
Find a bike co-op in your area, you can learn just about everything you'd ever want to know if you put the time in.

Fixed gear in school.
