@heyyxbella It's Anne of Green Gables. I'm not sure where to watch it these days though but I'm sure you can find it somewhere, and I highly recommend searching because it's worth it.
Hes wearing an army uniform. That would be hard if hes going off to war not long after that. The sequel to this is good as they go straight into WW 1 and Anne helps as a nurse.
I wish that instead of making this "Continuing Story", Sullivan had filmed Anne's House of Dreams, in the early 1990s, with Leslie Ash as Leslie Moore.
I saw Meghan Follows as Juliet at Stratford when I was 16. She was GREAT! Though she'll always be my favorite "Anne", I really love Amybeth McNulty, too!
@@emilyw530 oh that she did she didn’t want Anne to make the same mistake she did and throw it all away because of stubbornness. I’m glad they got to do what they wanted though figure things out before hand. Anne being a teacher, Gil going to medical school. They did it right 💜💜💜
I am a long time and fan, and I just pretend that this movie never happened. I like Anne of Green Gable’s and the sequel but this one… Absolutely not my favorite.
I hear you. I was concerned it would lose it's charm with so many years in between. I'd had occasional interaction with Sullivan Entertaiment, so when I heard about the third installment, I sent a letter to Kevin encouraging him to stay true to Anne's character. I received a reply from him. He expressed his confidence that the fans would accept that Anne had matured. When the movie was released, I tried to like it, but I never accepted the new version of Anne. I also really disliked the new version of Diana. It was a shame to see the movie end so differently than the books. That was heatbreaking. 💔
Meghan Follows will ALWAYS be Anne. However, this movie was a travesty...even the family disavowed and hated this "The continuing story" as it went off the rails as far as the books. I remember watching it and hatting it.. it was as if the spark of the original Anne was gone. True, she was older and now a woman, but it just seemed forced. And in the interviews that Meghan gave for this, she was almost gleeful and sadistically jaded in her explanation that the "age of innocence" was over. I think at this point, she was done playing Anne. She looked so harsh and sounded so jaded. She'd go on to have an even better career and no one could have played Catherine de Medici the way she did.
The best version of Anne of Green gables and the continuing story with all the best actors and actresses

Yes, it went totally off the original books. Gilbert was never in the army. Anne didn't go after him because he was MIA.
@@bigteep Sullivan took the story to a very dark place. Not my favorite either, but it was good to see the characters together once again.
I like only version with Megan and Jonathan, but this part, where he goes to army - definitely isn't my cup of tea)
