I bought 4 w124 window switches they work up and down fine but led light won't turn on..i tested switches out and led light work...now i don't have a clue where is the problem
Whatever you did to the LED to make them work outside of the car... is the same thing that needs to happen inside the car. Power & ground. A simple check of the wiring should find the issue. A wiring diagram will be of help to you.
I have a 1985 380sl, I've replaced the window motor, new switch on driver side, window still will not move with the switch, it works with direct power to motor
According to the wiring diagram that I am looking at... there are 3 fuse for the power windows. Fuse 3, 4 & 5.... 3 is for the right window, 4 is for the left window and 5 is for the power window relay. If both windows are not working, check fuse 5 and then remove the power window relay and bridge the "power & load" slots for the relay (make sure that the power slot has power... using a test light). The switches change the polarity to the motor... so as long as you have power & ground at the switch, the switch (as long as it is good) can operate the window motor. Power window relay is in the fuse / relay box behind right kick panel.
