Since everyone in that village goes on a students visa he thought that's the easiest way. In this regard I think Canada and Australia have been the most welcoming nations. Lot of these people from punjab migrated to Canada and settled there back then in the 80s and 90s. Thats why you would today see a lot of punjabi or people from Indian diaspora in Canada
