I am bi and proud! I have known I'm bi for about 2 years now, and still find that people don't understand that I'm not 50% Straight and 50% Gay... How can I explain that Bisexuality is its own, unique thing, not two things at once?

Since ur bi, so if u r with a guy in a relationship than don't u get a feeling of regrade that u r not with a girl(living with a girl or a boy is different and also it is sexually. because girl have vagina and boys have pennies etc etc.....). Bisexuality doesn't mean that you're "on" all the time. Interests increase and decrease for many reasons. Don't try to label and simply try to recognize what your interest is in that time. I think that part of the problem is that most of us are not taught how to listen to what our own body and mind is telling us, but just play the social script in our head. Sexuality is so indivdual, forget the label, and learn to listen to what you're telling yourself. Get to know your interests, whatever they may be and whatever level they may be at that time.

I have had some bi friends. I always thought that there is a lot of bi people.
I'm an 84 year old bisexual. Married for 52 years & kept a lid on it most of that time. Suffered bouts of depression throughout, but dare not come out to a homophobic wife. It did bubble to the surface after 15 years wed. I fell in love with a much younger guy, but a very one sided affair & I went through hell with my feelings for him. I had to tell my wife resulting in her leaving me. After 6 months apart we got back together again but lied through my teeth to do so. However a couple of years after being widowed, I came out to my daughter when she told me she was also bi, also my grand daughter! To all those annalists out there; it appears to be hereditary & locked in our genes. I feel at ease & happy now having come out & to be accepted by all of my friends, but too late in life to start up with any sort of relationship.
I- think I might be Bi- but like I don't know. I've imagined myself plenty of times with guys, and have had plenty of crushed on guys, and guy celebrities. And that's usually what I think first when thinking about stuff like that. But then I think to my friends and my hobbies and then I just imagine how nice and peaceful it would be to be able to live the rest of my life with them. How soft...? Life would be if I were with a girl...
And then my love for some of these fictional girls 😳. *Cough* Catra *cough*
I'm also a bisexual gal woo! However I just came out in February and tbh, I still doubt myself a lot which is really annoying me, I wish I just had some clarity in knowing for sure. Im worried I'm kind of inventing or imagining my attraction to girls, but I don't understand why the hell I would do that. I'm just doing a whole lot of thinking and trying to figure out who the heck I like and who I am! This is a helpful video however when discussing gender, i would say try not to gender genitals, they don't always define gender (yanno transgender and non-binary and all that big old spectrum of gender) Still an awesome video though but just wanted to idk give some advice I suppose x

Okay, I know this, I am 99% sure i'm bi, I'm just scared of telling people, I told one of my friends a year ago that I was stuggling with this and his reaction was like "please don't" and it broke my heart and made me feel super stupid and insecure.
BUT like a week ago I told another friend and he was suuuper nice and told me that he was okay with it and that I should be happy with who I am.
That totally made me feel better and I know that when I tell people I am going to feel way better.
I JUST WANT TO TELL PEOPLE BUT I'M SO SCARED, What are my friends gonna say? What if they stop talking to me?

When I "came out", I said I was bi because I thought it would be a softer blow to my family. Ironically enough, they thought that was worse! 😂 I am actually fully gay.

I've looked at a bunch of videos like this and yours has been the first one which I've felt has given me something concrete to do to figure out my sexuality, so thank you for that. I've been having inklings that I might be bi for about a year now, but haven't really given it much thought as I was quite busy with school and definitely didn't need that extra mental effort at the time. I was suppressing my feelings for a guy I was attracted to at the same time, so it kind of just followed on. But for the past few months, with school ending and not much else to do, I've been focusing more on my personal identity, and actually trying to figure myself out. As such, I've been watching a lot of videos like 'How to know if you're bi', and while their experiences have certainly helped me become more aware and comfortable with sexuality, and to become more okay with being attracted to people (I always hid when I had a crush on someone because I didn't want to be made fun of, and as such have been a bit stunted in my exploration of sexuality as I constantly repressed it), I didn't really have anything else to go by to check if I'm bi. I'm demisexual (something I've known for years), and as such I don't get attracted to people until I've formed an emotional connection with them (I've so far taken about 3-6 weeks of getting to know people), and I thus haven't really been able to check if I'm attracted to female strangers or not to see if I'm bi. But this idea of whether I could imagine myself in a relationship with people of both sexes, that has helped me immensely. I already did my fair share of imagining with a couple of male crushes I've had, but then I realised that I've done a similar thing with some female friends (who I hope will never see this comment, because that's embarrassing af). While I will wait until I get a proper crush on a girl to come out properly, this video really struck a chord with me and I'm pretty sure now that I'm bi. So thanks, you've helped me with a lot of confusion about my identity and I appreciate that I can be more comfortable in that identity now. I haven't told anyone at this point, and it's been eating at me a lot because I want to work myself out, and I want a bit of help doing that, and I think now that I'm a bit closer to being sure I might tell a friend about it, one who won't make a super big deal out of it (so not my lesbian friend who will take it as a lot more certain than it is, and not my friend who is completely straight and quite naive and innocent when it comes to issues of attraction and sexuality).
I feel like I've been writing a lot of comments like this on videos like this in lieu of actual people to talk to. They're very much for myself, but I think I need that. If anyone actually read through my paragraph of confusion, I appreciate that, and any advice you have would be appreciated
I have found that sometimes writing it out is therapeutic and most helpful , this maybe the most though out comment I have ever read and I really hope you do discover yourself just remember you only get one life so make the best of it 😋

I tend to overthink things, so there's a lot of them. It helped a lot to write them here where someone might see them, as did telling someone irl

I know this is not a new video... *but,* I just wanted to say = I love how you actually acknowledged that you are not required to have sex with someone to still be able to have a totally non-friend relationship with someone! This concept often seems to be considered as strange and poorly understood by people as bisexuality itself, or perhaps even moreso; and, it is so rare to hear someone actually just say it outright like that.

Find other people who think and feel like you do. I came out and told my family I was bi when I was 16 but everyone is different. You'll know when it's the right time don't do it until you're ready. Or you don't even have to verbally say anything. Just date who you want and let people drawl their own conclusion about it!
I like what you said & I’m happy you are so willing to express to other people about this. Sexuality is beautifully unique to every person. It’s very fluid. We are always changing, growing, evolving & you never know who you’ll be in the next few years! I’m open to the change. I’m intimately attracted to men and women. Love knows no barriers! 2018 is the year that I decided not to "hide" anymore, and I am all the better for it. At 53, it was about time haha. The important people in my life know (parents, family, best friends) and I've decided to mention it to others if it is relevant to the conversation.

I find my attraction is different for each sex, I find women more physically appealing but I absolutely hate how they judge who they should date. Men I find less physical attraction (i'm pretty playful so it's not really a problem but it's noticeable) but emotional attraction is much, much stronger. Whenever I have dated women the first question is how tall are you if not in person or, what do you do for work how much do you make. I actually said I was unemployed on purpose the last few times and they would drop me immediately. If they would have stayed I would have clarified at the time my Husband had just passed away and I was taking some time to pull myself together because I had enough money to not need to work. I ended up with a guy because he talked to me like a real person and not a job interviewer. When I eventually got a job i'd fly to the Netherlands for a date over the weekend then be back for work that monday morning. My female boss thought it was romantic and said she couldn't find anyone who would do that kind of thing and I thought maybe the person who would is short.

I'm a bi.. and my parents not happy with it..i came out as a bi to my parents when I was 19 y/o..During my came out, they hit me, they abused me physically and mentally, isolated me and they asked me to change my sexual orientation to straight again.. but I just can't.. And they confiscated my phone and texted my ex boyfriend to dumped me.. I was so depressed and wish there can be a cure for this sexual orientation problem....

Hey, cool video! More discussion on bisexuality is always needed :) So there were just a couple of things I wanted to point out. You were talking about emotional and physical connections and there are actually labels for just these! So while bisexual can just be a general term, you could use it to just mean the physical connection. Then if its to show you're not into the physical connection but are into emotional connection, you are biromantic. For example an asexual person could also be biromantic, heteromantic etc and an aromantic person could be bisexual, gay or heterosexual.
The other thing that irked me a little was how you mentioned pansexuality and how it was connected to non-binary people. I totally get what you were intending but I'm bisexual and have been attracted to non-binary people. It's a confusing thing and everyone has different definitions of their labels but there's a bi vs pan thing that comes up a lot, bisexual sometimes gets called a transphobic label when its in fact not. When I look at the definitions I probably come under pan more but I honestly use bi more because people understand it instantly where as they don't so much with pan. If you're going to go into the subject more, there's tons of resources online that are worth looking in to. :D
Oh! The other thing, maybe don't apply certain genitals to certain genders. While vaginas for women and penises for men might be the case for cis people, it's not always gonna be for transgender people.

No that's perfectly fine thank you for being so insightful there so many terms and labels within the LGBT that it starts to become hard to not insult someone because that term excludes part of them, I still have alot to learn but I try my best if you could send me some links I would be happy to read up on the subject
Courtney-Jai I didn't see your reply, sorry! I'd actually check out at Ash Hardell's channel. I've learned tons from them, they started a series called the ABCs of LGBT which eventually turned into a book. I like that when she's talking about an experience that she hasn't had, she brings in guests who have. Super informative and fun channel in general, their videos are straight forward to understand and also great if you're relatively new to any terms beyond gay, straight, bi. :D
Tailsbeth these labels and scientific words to describe a something which can be told in a sentence sometimes easier to everyday people, at least that worked for me;)
I have seen her channel before I actually think she's subscribed to me , she asked about the topic of bisexuality once but nothing really ever came of it , I'd love to be on her channel she's very creative.
I actually think that's the only reason we have labels to help people understand the problem is everything is alot more fluid in life there are men and women who go through life everyday this king they are straight and all it takes is one experience and it changes their whole outlook on life
i was 15 when i started to realise that i am different, but i didn't really cared, i did not really know that bisexuality is a thing. but after a while i realised that i started to have crushes on girls in films/tv shows. and i was like no way... i watch a lot of series and read books, and last summer i have read the book Half Bad by Sally Green. That story made me realise that i could not be more bi and that i am mostly attrected to also bi guys and girls.
so yeah there are a lot of different ways to realise who you are.
Sometimes I have a feeling but sometimes I don't have the feeling and I did test like and sometimes I force myself but sometimes I have a little feeling of gay porn but sometimes I got really really confused and I don't know if I'm straight or bisexual like all did a test and if o saw gay porn my feeling is gone😔😓

CARABEAR greenaway if I’m honest, I don’t want to sound scary or anything, but if your in a country in lockdown at the moment, it would probably not be best to come out now, not everyone understands at first and can need space to process things, but in lockdown there is no space and stress levels can be high. I would recommend hanging on in there for a bit longer, but it will be ok there are plenty of people in the world who will support and love you if things don’t go to plan 🙂

Generally pretty good the odd joke about being greedy but nothing bad , I think because I have a small close friend circle and among them one is gay and another is bi also it's alot easier for them to accept and be happy for me

I'm 45 and have just recently really realized that I am bi sexual. I'm not gay and I'm not "strait" either. Sorry for the spelling. The thing is my non gay friends feel weird when I talk about men and that I love penis. And my gay friends feel weird when I talk about loving women. Why does this have to be so polarizing? Why am I stuck in the middle of these people who profess to be my friend no matter what? I do understand it though, how do they feel looking at me. Where do I fit? I’ve only had a crush on a guy irl once, and it lasted a year. It was because of his personality. However I’ve had tons of celebrity crushes on guys, which has set my standards pretty high lol. I could see myself dating a guy, but I was never boy crazy, or had much of a thing for abs.. but when it comes to girls I can definitely see myself dating a girl, marrying a girl, everything. Same with a guy, but I don’t think that much about the s*xual bit. I think I’m bi, and I think a huge sign is since I was little I thought it was so cool to be bi. That I even WANTED to be bi. I’m only 12 and I think I’m bisexual, because for me there is no problem in love, imagine that « normally » girls had to be with girls and boys with boys, people would say it’s weird if a girl is with a boy! So for me everything is okay, it’s just that our society thinks that if your bisexual (and a girl for me) it means your lesbian (so it’s hard to have a boy friend). I only said that I’m bisexual to a close friend but not to my family, I’m scared about what they are gonna say (I know they don’t have any problem at all with it but I’m still scared) and I’m stressed about how I’m gonna say it.. I was lucky that even in 2000 when i came out so to speak in high school i lived in New Orleans and most of the kids in my school were not straight. I guess growing up blocks from Bourbon Street we all knew about the fluidity of sexuality. I didn't actually know of any homophobic trends until the death of a boy in Texas ( Matthew Shepard). It shocked me and my school to the core. I never had any issues telling people because it was never a thing. But i am learning how hard it can be, my 14 year old daughter thinks she is lesbian. I told her no labels and to just be happy and healthy. No labels no box..... Enjoy the exploration and the journey. Its harder for her now that we live in farm land Texas. But she seems happy😏. I joke with her that at least she wont be a teen pregnancy statistic. lol

I feel your pain! A lot of ppl think that in America it's easy to find a large LGBT community and as that may be true in places like LA SF or NYC, it's much different in other parts of the country. It could always be worse though I guess haha
