Well, thats what we get. We don't want to pay full price. We want cheap & big discounts. Businesses responds by making their products cheap as well as pay their employees cheap. In turn, those employees shop for cheap things; then the cycle continues until everything and everyone is cheap.
I work for a retail department store thats will be going out of business. Our items and merchandise are so overpriced. We started discounting them at 40% off every 2 weeks now we are at 70%. Us associate like to pick out nice items and put them in crates to hold until closing day when it will be very cheaper. I made an excel spreadsheet calculating all the items I have on hold with the discount and its STILL expensive! Although the calculations says I save over $600 dollars the total cost of $200 worth of stuff makes me believe I save alot of money and I picked out good quality products. To me they just don’t feel expensive to begin with.
Anyone who understands anything about clothing and quality knows this lol. If you can't tell the difference between the quality of J.Crew vs. J.Crew Mercantile, then you might as well just buy mercantile!
