One of the best Wedding Ceremonies in India is the Mehndi Raat Ceremony which is called Manz Raat in Kashmir. I was in Srinagar to attend a Kashmiri Wedding. Kashmiri Weddings are a grand and lavish affair and one can make it out easily from their Zafraani Kahwa to a 15-course Wazwan that was served on the Mendi Raat for dinner. Kashmiri food or cuisine is undoubtedly one the best nonvegetarian feast in India or the World.

I arrived at Srinagar Airport from Delhi to attend a traditional Kashmiri Wedding in Srinagar, during the Covid-19 pandemic. It was a small function because of which I got to experience the Wedding very closely.
Just as I arrived I reached the tent where the Wazwan Preparation was going on in full swing, for the Mehndi Raat 15- Course Wazwan was prepared, a few of the dishes were : Tabak Maaz, Waza Chicken, Seekh Kabab, Tamatar Paneer, Daniwal Qorma, Rogan Josh, Haakh, Mirchi Qorma, Aab Gosht, Rista , Gushtaba, Kashmiri Pulao, Halwa and a lot more dishes were served for the Wazwan dinner in a copper TRAMI.
It was one of the best food and the best experiences of my life

रात की इन रस्मों की शुरुआत तब हुई जब लड़के वाले लड़की वालों के घर मेहँदी ले के गए | और होने वाली दुल्हन की हथेलियों पे मेहँदी लगाई और वापिस आके उसी कलश से लड़के को भी मेहँदी लगाई गई | पूरी रात शामियाने में संगीत और जशन का माहौल बना हुआ था |

I was Invited to a Kashmiri weeding in 2004 in Srinagar. We stayed in their house. Then I was only 10 years old and I made some kashmiri friends also. I tried Wazwaan and have Participated all these ceremonies. It was really unforgettable. Fun fact I'm a Hindu and still we were treated like God. This is called kashmiri hospitality. I hope I could visit there onece again.

I attended many Kashmiri Weddings and taste wazwan many times particularly the wazwan of Batmaloo Srinagar is unforgettable last time visited in 2014 to attend the marriage at Ahmed Nagar Srinagar but due to flood hardly returned and since then not visited Srinagar remind the Kashmiri Weddings thanks

Yr voice adds more flavour to our kashmiri wazwan i can taste it now while watching this i am from kashmir but living in england i am surprised and rather shocked to see how old traditional customs have been modified rather changed it is sad to watch old traditions are dying that old nazakat sharam gaya menhdi rat is night of singing tumbakhnari with dance special kashmiri singers beautifull dance and women playing tumbakhnari etc it is so melodious absolute mesmerizing esp when u hear it far away i hope our old traditions dont get wiped off i love my kashmiri traditions thank u god bless u and my paradise
