I wonder if I have the same problem with my Lifan 125 manual, I can shift gears when motor not running, but when motor running I can shift gear when riding, but very hard to get into neutral, but as soon as I stop the motor, it goes into neutral, but I have to hit it a bit hard.
my zs190 is brand new zero miles. Im able to shift into all gears when the engine is not running but when it is running i can only shift into 1st. have to turn engine off the shift anywhere else. I know it isnt the shifter hitting the case and i have adjusted the clutch cable and clutch arm so therea few mm to zero slack before it engages. do you have any other ideas?
Pretty sure they have, if not you can buy a upgraded pawl and retainer washer, you shouldn’t need the retainer washer if you get the upgraded pawl because the upgraded pawl is specifically made to stop the jumping off the star issue

What size is the washer and the bolt?

Star bolt
clutch basket (special) nut
clutch spring nuts

Thats normal with any motorcycle transmission, if you want to shift with the engine off rock the bike back and forth

surely they have fixed this on current gen ZS 190CC engines? They have had 5 years since this video?

Is this the 4 speed ive got a daytona 190 4 speed and assuming this is the same problem

Lol. Just looks like 1/2 and 1" washers and the bolt would be the same just about 1/4" longer to make up for the washers.
