Morris Minor Supercharger Success!

Come on a test drive with me after my latest attempt to make my Judson supercharger work on my 1969 Morris Minor LCV (van). The engine is a standard 1098cc A-series but I have long center branch headers and electronic multi-spark ignition. The supercharger came with a Holley 1904 one-barrel carb that I never could get to work right. I opted to try a cheap Asian knock-off replacement I found on Ebay and things were going well until it left me stranded in traffic with a flooded engine. The vendor offered to send me a replacement, but I cleaned the float valve and this video is the result.

What jet sizes are you running on the Holley? I tried a a Solex 32 downdraft which has so many jets it is difficult to fine tune, I may have to go back to the Holley….

That’s a familiar Judson!
Interestingly enough, we now have a Morris van and truck… We were talking about how fun it would be to turbo or supercharge one . Suddenly, the memory of a MG Metro turbo sitting in deep stock came up. Then this video! Oh dear.
