- phasereplicant is a spectral granular synth that splits audio into 256 bands and performs granular synthesis on each band individually! It also lets you change the phase of the audio (setting it to zero, randomizing phase, etc...), keeping the magnitude the same, making the audio sound smeared and blurry while retaining the harmony of the original sound. There is also a live granular section as well, along with drag and drop functionality into the daw host.
as far as i know it is also the worlds first punpun type plugin?

This plugin is super cool, the only thing I would love to see in a future version is to be able to pitch the sound with a midi input. But I absolutely love it so far, the only alternative to Fruity Granulizer I could find so far.

I have been using this plugin for a little while now and just wanted to come back and say that this is a really really really great plugin @slowslicing . The spectral processing options in addition to the drag & drop feature makes it very workflow-friendly and really enables creative sound design. And the fact that it’s free as well is just awesome. Big up.

@slowslicing I'm really excited about this plugin! How do you play a processed audio clip within the plugin itself? Or, is this plugin just processing only?
So basically its like a sampler/granular synth, drag and drop a sample onto it for it to load, then play midi notes for it to play the sound essentially

Can someone tell me how I can activate the plugin player? My logic tells me that clicking and hitting space should work but it doesn't.
it looks like pretty interesting plugin, can you consider add "import from folder" button. I`m trying to test this plugin on linux, but I cannot drag any sample file (this is known issue with dragging files on linux). Or maybe you will think about native linux version ;)
how do i play it? im messing with the knobs, i have it on a mixer track, and loaded a sample, but nothing happens when i play the sample.
the plugin is amazing but how do you press play ? the only way i found to press play is opening a 'midi out' and routing it to the plugin itself, why i cant open it like a synthesizer in audio rack fl studio? im i the only one?
I wonder if there's some alternative that works similarly with the phase smearing but will work on live audio track rather than needing to drag into the DAW? or does this work that way? I didn't look yet

for making pads especially but its basically multiband granular synthesis, think of like a multiband compressor, those things work on different bands of audio, its just that this plugin happens to be working on 256 of them

Doesn't work for me. FL studio doesn't find it when scanning for plugins in "manage plugins" window.
Try to copy them to the following directories, and see if that makes a difference:
For 64-bit plugins: C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3
For 32-bit plugins: C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\VST3 (

if you have windows youll have to put it here: C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3
and then like rescan for plugins inside of fl studio!

i have no clue why but when i drag the vst3 into the plugin folder on my mac, fl won't recognize it as a plugin let alone show it on the scan at all. any one else having this problem? sick vet btw i can't wait to actually use it :)
