- Rainbow High is back with some new dolls! Sparkle and Shine recently hit Target stores and the new Winter Wonderland dolls were briefly available online at Walmart for $30.
I’ll be looking at Bella Parker today, which I’m excited because this is Bella’s first doll in the new Rainbow High reboot.
This doll line has taken me on a journey and I have a lot of mixed feelings so watch as I unbox Bella and share all my thoughts and feelings on these new dolls!
Overall I think Bella is a pretty base doll with some frustrating gimmicks crammed into her but her face and hair redeem this otherwise lackluster release.
I’m curious to see where Rainbow High takes us next and hopefully it can harken back to its high fashion roots, fingers crossed 🤞🏽

I was in love with RH, but I haven't been drawn to any of the reboots at all. I am thinking of the sparkle Rossetta doll, but thats it. I've been spending my money on older RH dolls & Monster High as well. And I'm sick of the same core dolls. Even one of the sparkle dolls is just a Violet. RH has become extremely lazy & it shows.
Yeah Rainbow High has really gone down hill. The dolls have redeeming qualities here and there but it’s not enough to make up for the bad fashion, gimmicks, and qc :/
I think she would look amazing with her skirt from the deluxe fashion closet, if you have it you should try it on!
I preordered on Amazon and part of me wanted to cancel my order after this video. The skirt is giving shower cap. I really love the face on this Bella though. I think she might be a good project - to rebody and restyle. Thanks for showing her!

Yes very Shower Cap/Curtain vibes, which for a fashion doll isn’t the vibe I want. She could totally make a fun project, the base doll is still gorgeous!
If you do deconstruct the skirt I’d love to see what it looks like as the bottom layer of material is so pretty. I saw someone in the comments suggest just taking the bottom tier of the skirt and just use it that to make a new skirt. This Bella hair is stunning it’s kinda giving rose quartz from Steven universe.

0:54 I totally agree. I really wish this reboot was being used as a way to bring back older characters. Imagine a playline easily accessible line with Brianna, Delilah, Lily, Jewel, etc thatd be so cool. But besides Sparkle n shine its just the main girls :(

She’s so cute! The sand and slime gimmicks are the main things holding these dolls back in the rebooot!
OMG I just saw the Reddit post of the Skyler that someone found at Ross!! That’s actually insane that they’re already showing up there when they just came out about the same time as all the new MH dolls?? 😭 I’m trying so hard to also stay hopeful for the reboot but I just feel like it’s going so far downhill to the point where it’s going to end up “dying” in like the next year for sure..

The snow in the dress would have been interesting if the colors matched their outfits better. Why give orange and that greenish blue to Bella?
Hey how are you doing, lately it's good to see you again any luck with Spectra G3?. Since she came out yesterday everywhere at targets only, I got one out box and my 4th in box doll collection for G3, I have Abbey, Venus, Catty, Spectra all brand new in box collector.
Doing well! I did find Spectra yesterday, I was struggling finding a good screening but thankfully I found a pretty Spectra
I am extremely turned off by everything in the RH Rebrand, and I never bought a single doll from it. I feel like Winter Wonderland Bella is one of the least worst dolls in the RH Rebrand, though. Even if she has a weird gimmicky skirt, her face is pretty, and her jacket, hoodie, and heels look decent to me. Maybe I'm just happy to see another leather jacket in the RH line as well. She still doesn't even compare to Series 2 Bella or Costume Ball Bella for me, though, and I feel very fortunate to have her other, better versions.🖤💜
This new Bella has so much potential if only MGA had faith in fashion dolls getting to be fashion dolls. I still enjoy this new Bella but Costume Ball is still my personal fave too

I like her face, but I don't collect any post reboot Rainbow High. I'm not interested in it due to the loss of articulation and quality. I hope kids (the target audience) are happy with them. My wallet surely is 😅

They really need to bring back more of the characters we love! I'm so sick of the main 6 girls and the few series 2 girls that get attention sometimes

Not a fan of the blushing on this Bella but shes kinda cute. She looks way better without that awful skirt. And the jacket is nice but doesn't go with the vibe. I really like her hair and sweater the most.

mga couldve put in the budget for the full wrist and thigh articulation bc its a deluxe doll yk but they decided to waste it on TWO gimmicks like the building a snowman is cute but rlly water in a skirt???
She seems fine. I'd buy this doll and stick her in some white pants. Flop era, I dunno, it's only been half a year and to me these winter dolls and the snow globe legs are better than the earlier slime and swim dolls. RH could continue to improve. I'm not into Bratz and MHG3 enough to collect a bunch if RH goes under, so I'm trying to stay positive. The underfilled lips and mouth lines, it's giving bjd. It looks more youthful and creates a different mouth shape. I don't mind it.

I'm pessimistic about RHs future as well. I still want to improve my current collection like getting pieces I want from second hand dolls.
But I'm not sure if I want to expand the collection anymore. (Tho i enjoy my current dolls and wont get rid of them for now)
Feels like as RH fans we're getting the short end of the stick compared to lol, monster high, bratz.
And being in the east coast rn sucks so bad because I don't have a Ross in my state so I can't even enjoy the Ross sales either.
I don't collect Rainbow High any more. I have 20 of the original RH dolls and I still like them, but I'm now collecting Monster High.

I will buy only the base doll with the top pieces and stand, because all of the other accessories.... Interesting 🤔
The puffy shower cap casings with the randomized color sand inside just looks so horrendous. There really is no other way to make it look good when mixing and matching other outfit pieces with it and I fear with water added to the clothes, who knows if it'll get moist and moldy in there :/
I'm not sure what's with MGA and the whole gimmick thing with their dolls. LOL Surprise does the gimmick thing well with their tots and they sometimes do it subtly with the OMGs like the glow in the dark dolls with neon lights and the changing colors and outfits with sunlight thing, but the dolls still maintain that fashion doll element. RH, on the other hand, started out as actual fashion dolls with second outfits that could be mixed and matched around with other RH dolls (Plus, you can mix and match their outfits with other doll brands, up to everyone really). With the gimmick of putting slime in your doll's shoes or purse, and now pumping water in your doll's clothes with encased sand, it just looks ridiculous and horrendous when you think and look at it.
Tbh, the reboot era for RH is an up and down rollercoaster ride for me. Like I've slowly grown fond with the slime dolls and swim budget dolls, albeit some redressing, restyling, and adding touchups to their faces, but it's sad with how backward this brand is heading in. The only thing I'm looking forward to are the Sparkle & Shine dolls, but I would rather wait for them to either go on sale or have their price be lowered as time passes.

this is a pretty doll … except for the skirt, yikes. it looks like a sensory nightmare 😩 you might be able to salvage the bottom part of the inner skirt fabric and cut it off to make it a little wrap skirt instead? or maybe a shimmery stole. 🤔 bella definitely looks better in the skirt you gave her, and her hair is gorgeous for sure!
i got into rainbow high really late so i’m still collecting the preboot dolls i like when i can find them for a good price, the reboot dolls mostly don’t interest me. i do like clementine from the glitterlegs group but i think i’m waiting for a sale to get her. i do think these newer lines are mostly flops but i’m not a child so maybe they hold more interest for them? i just don’t know. 🫤 my nephew’s almost 6 and he likes my monster high dolls, maybe i can take him on a trip to target for some focus group research 😆

I'm not too fond of the reboot dolls. The face is beautiful, but the gimic is crap. I even like the glitter legs. I'm trying to get all the og dolls before they skyrocket in price. I got like 10 in box that i want to display, but go no room.

I can't help myself but I think this line is even worse than the slime dolls. I was a bit excited about the Sparkle and Shine dolls, but after seeing a few reviews, I'll probably skip them too. RH really isn't what it used to be... ☹️
