I think Parisian love Levi's because they are 100% cotton, no stretch fibers. Glad you are loving Paris.

Canada Goose in Paris? Get out! I’m in a part of Canada where it’s -40 for months, and even -50s when the windchill kicks in, and I wouldn’t wear a Canada Goose coat THEN because they’re too dang warm! You’d sweat wearing one, and then die of frostbite! That’s too funny!

Look I’m with you; I don’t get it. To me it’s not cold enough for a Canada Goose but they’re a huge deal here.

There are several French youtubers who talk about how French women, I guess especially Parisian women wear very little makeup. They believe "natural" is beautiful, even for aging women. American women, especially the influencers, wear much too much makeup. You, Adriel, are young, and have a beautiful complexion, no need for makeup. Re: sunscreen I live in a sunny warm climate, and I'm not a fan of sunscreen. I think there are chemicals in sunscreen that may not be good for us. I heard somewhere, not sure if it's true, but Asian women don't typically wear sunscreen. Instead, they wear hats and sunglasses, even long sleeve garments to protect themselves from the sun and sun damage. I've taken to hat wearing whenever I go outside the home.

Yeah a lot of sunscreens have chemicals but mineral sunscreens tend to be made with zinc and are in fact much safer. My favorite mineral sunscreen is Amavara.

I think they just love wearing a winter coat. I know i do. Its funny to hear hiw much i act like a french person without ever having lived there, though I do have french ethnicity.

I do it myself now. I’m so much better at it than I was when I first arrived.

Wow! The sunscreen thing is interesting. I wonder why they don’t promote wearing it all the time? It makes me wonder if it’s promoted so much here because of a greater knowledge or are sunscreen brands lobbying there way into the media…
The gel manicures was a surprise for me too! When I was there last summer I had to get my nails done 3 times and I had to get gel nails because practically no one offered dip nails.
And the Levi’s!!! I also never owned Levi’s until 2 years ago. And when I saw the price of a pair in Paris, I about fell over!
Canada Goose - this sounds like the Bay Area, 😂. People are so cold here. It doesn’t get that cold…it’s the same temps as in Paris, hahaha
I have so many comments about this post but I will digress 😂😂😂

I have no idea on the sunscreen thing but it’s amazing to me especially since there are so many wonderful sunscreen formulations here. But I’m sure you’re right & lobbying has something to do with it.
I just can’t go back to the gel manicure. BUT there’s a brand that offers non-toxic gel manicures and I’m going to try them out. I love their regular nail polish so we will see. If you ever need a salon to go to, try Free Persephone. It’s an American nail salon in Paris.
The Levi’s. Girl…the Levi’s. Breaks my little heart. It’s insane.

What I have noticed in Paris is that women of all ages do not touch up their hair color.
