THANK YOU, THANK YOU , THANK YOU!! Today it was 107 in Dallas and the ac went out. Exact same ordeal as this video. I had the old capacitor and it worked. I thought the fan motor was going to be the culprit but it’s still operable. It’s almost 1am and now everyone will sleep better. I’m so grateful. I watched this like 20 times. God bless you sir.
Changed run and start capacitor along with a new vontactor due to burnt tips on 220v side, fan and compressor still wont run but i got a low hum from the new start capacitor once power restored. Its a bryant system too. Anything i should be looking for? Windings dont appear to be higher than 5 on the high side, but figured if the compressor was bad the fan should still run . thanks
? MY AC IS RATED AT 220 VOLTS BURN UP T UP 2 MOTORS GOT REWIND BOUGHT A DIGITAL PROGRAMMABLE CIRCUIT BREAKER IT MEASURES AT THE EVENING HOURS 240 VOLTS REPLACED THE CONDENSER THE UNIT IS PROPERLY GROUNDED I NOTICED A LOT OF KITES N STRINGS TANGLED ON THE POLE WIRE AND DETECTED A SHORT TO GROUND NOTIFIED THE POWER CO 240 WILL THAT FRY MY AC MOTOR
Looks like Mikey Pipes favorite capacitor failed. Just because its made in the great state of Florida doesn't mean it cannot fail. Best option is to buy a reputable brand capacitor from a reputable supply house.
@@ApartmentMaintenancePro feel you I had a small hot spot come through last month and got my bad units done so I should not have any big problem's this year

That unit is going go out in the future if it got hard start on it
Every unit ever made will go out in the future whether it has a hard start or not 👍
Got er done with a new capacitor. 112 F today!
Good work!
I just did the same repair on the same unit its a small world
Haha right on! Looking forward to more AC repairs, still haven’t had anything close to a heat wave come through Colorado yet

Previous tech replaced the fan motor without checking the cap. Nice $1000 bill...
