New learners will never understand and sense the sound or force of engine for shifting gears, the best and easy formula is;
0km to 19km 1st gear
20km to 39km 2nd gear
40km to 59km 3rd gear
60km to 79km 4th gear
80km to onward 5th gear.
This formula is taught to all new driving learners all over the world.

If you have bought a new manual car, then this formula bracket is actually mentioned in the car's owner manual.
You forgot to mention that these gear shift speed brackets are for a / or up to 1000cc engine cars. These speeds brackets can double if you have, lets say a 2000cc engine manual car. A 5000cc manual car can go utpo 80km/h in just first gear.

The best formula for every car with RPM meter is that change gear between 2500 to 3000 RPM

i - clutch (Left foot)
ii- brake (Right Foot)
iii- release hand brake by moving down (Left Hand)
iv- gear to 1 (Left Hand)
v- acclerator (Right Foot) - (slowly till RPM is 1500 to 2000)
-once car starts moving
v- release clutch slowly
»To Stop:
i- clutch
ii- break slowly
iii- gear neutral
iv- release clutch
v- apply handbrake
»Next Gear:
start same as above till gear 1
once car starts feeling heavy
- Clutch
- Gear 2
- Release clutch

To drive you have to learn it yourself, nobody can train a biggener. You need to feel it to get it right. It seems very hard but with time a human child could learn anything. Very important is you need to be brave to be on the road with all type of drivers around, you need to be aware of your surroundings and be keen enough to learn. If you have those qualities, you will be driving solo very very soon, To become an expert it require time and continuous application.

Here's a tip: when breaking, do not engage clutch at first, this way you can use engine braking and reduce load on brake pads.
If your car is coming near to stop only then engage clutch to prevent stall.

one good trick that i learned to know when to change the gear is divide gears by every 20 km/h
0-20 1st gear
20 40 2nd
40 60 3rd
60 80 4th
and 80 to above 5th
if theres a 6th gear then after 100 till the end of the speedometer

Rule of thumb for changing gears: if you are crossing above 2000 RPM to drive at speed of your choice, it's time to change to next higher gear. This way you not only avoid stressing your engine but also stay fuel efficient.

Good educational video but one thing I have learned over here driving in Australia is, to release the handbrake at very last. Unlike shown in this video. The reason I have been told by the instructor was, let's say if at very last moment someone or something comes in front of your car and you've already put the first gear, by not releasing the handbrake means your car is still stationery and even if you put the foot on accelerator, it won't go anywhere.
Similarly when stopping somewhere, one should pull the handbrake once you've stopped your car and then put it to neutral because of same safety reasons.
