I'm fairly confident I've missed out a lot of information in this review but I wanted to try and keep it fairly brief and highlight my favourite and most disliked points of this ship. When I first got the Zeus I really disliked it, but now revisiting it I'm not sure why I disliked it so much back then! 😅 Much love to you all for watching ❤
With you on that for sure! I initially wasn't a fan of the zeus when I came from the spirit. However I've accepted the ship for what it's meant to be used for and I love it now
I really like the Zeus. I upgraded from a Cutlass to the Zeus Mk II CL, and it is now my favorite daily driver. Although it lacks a bit of firepower compared with a Cutlass, it does make up for it with its triple Size 2 shield generators. You feel much safer during combat than with the Cutty. So far I didn’t lose huge parts of the ship when hit. With the Cutlass Black, losing parts of your wings where your weapons are mounted was a semi-regular occurrence. The only thing my Zeus has lost during combat were the small side wings, which did not affect performance. The aesthetics of the Zeus Mk II are highly pleasing to me. I like the triangle shape and the overall layout. It feels clean and efficient. The cockpit has a really good view forward and the MFD and HUD positions do not interfere with each other (Looking at you, Constellation!). The cargo hold can be a bit tricky to fill up to its full potential, but for a ship with a footprint this small, you can fit in a lot of stuff. I did not have huge issues with loading the cargo hold after having watched some videos about it. The trick is to either not stuff it to the fullest when using the cargo grid, or to just ignore the grid and load it up. I think I got close to 140 SCU in it when not using the cargo grid. The ladder behind the cockpit and the airlock offer convenient alternate modes of entry and exit to the ship and are being used regularly, especially when the cargo hold is full. The beds are actually working, I did not have issues with logging off from there. Flight performance is a not as responsive as with a Cutlass, but seems to be on par with the C1 Spirit and the Freelancer series. Although it has the same yaw / pitch / roll rates, it feels more responsive than a Constellation. Atmospheric performance is decent for a medium sized multi mission ship compared to in space performance due to its aerodynamic frame. It could have a bit more firepower, but sustainability in combat is good due to its ample shield generators. The other Zeus even has four shield generators! Overall, a very nice successor to my Cutlass. It allows me to fly different missions without the need to change vessels or loadout.
thank you for taking in my feedback from last video, the mic is much much more clean now! I like this ship, used it for couple of weeks because i feel in love with its internals but also the cockpit fov, its one of the best cockpits out there in regards to see where you going where you landing etc. but unfortunately i had to upgrade it to starlancer, you know big cargo numbers make brain go brrrr lol anyway keep up the good work my dude! gg!
Of course! It was really helpful and you gave it in a respectful and constructive way. Always appreciate any advice on making my content better! I'm exactly the same, I also went to the starlancer max and I may or may not have now upgraded that for the rsi galaxy... BIG NUMBERS ALL DAY! 🤣
@jedi_drifter2988 got to agree here. I didn't really understand their intention with the cargo grid layout. I can live with the bay door but is definitely irritating
I had a CL and was really hyped for it. I tried it, and it felt allright, but I had some things that put me off: 1. The unergonomic cargo grid & tractor beam. This is supposed to be the selling point, but if you do cargo (I hate to say it) get a Freelancer or Starlancer MAX. 2. Anemic weapons. I did save Stanton Phase 1 and 2 with it, and it was ok. But it's not a Vanguard or Hurricane for sure. Also, the missile payload could be twice as big, not gonna lie. 3. The Gs just aren't there. It's better than the Starlancer MAX, but that is whole different size class. 4. I don't know if it's just me or if it was a bug, but I had a constant attling noise in the cockpit, and it drove me insane. Never had that with any other ship. I still got a Zeus Mk2 MR, but I might melt or upgrade it later. I really love the style, and the interior has one of the beast layouts I've seen, but I expected .... more.
Just like most players, I upgraded my C1 to the Teus CL. At first I was a bit disapointed because the lack of manueverabillity and the weired cargogrid. Because it is not able to carry a URSA, I somehow started comparing it with the Freelance MAX. But after flying the Freelancer, and trying out the Starlancer as well, I am more than happy with the Zeus CL now. Is it a improvement to the C1? Maybe not but I dont regret my decission.
Yeah it's a tough call. If you're looking for a dedicated medium freight the the zeus cl is perfectly capable but straying outside of that role leads to a bad time
Good video dude I have both the c1 and the zeus cl in my fleet but find myself mainly taking out the c1 for its versatility unless I need a medium sized cargo run doing. Agree this is not a direct upgrade from the c1 at all except for the interior and cargo cap
Yep I totally understand why people choose the c1 as their daily driver compared to the zeus. I definitely felt limited in what I could do whilst flying it
If we could customize cockpit colours I would consider it a lot more seriously but I really do not like the current RSI cockpit colours so could not get used to this ship. Bounced around between Zeus, C1 and Freelancer Max. Ended up settling on C1.
That would be an awesome feature! I went from the zeus to the taurus for a bit and then dabbled with the starlancer max for a bit. I ended up back with the c1 as well 😆
If they improve the Zeus models when it comes to manoeuvrability.. I may be interested in the MR. As of now.. CL/ES flight test runs.. I rather fly a brick.. even if it looks like Elite Dangerous Corvette which is a beautiful ship... actually.. wait.. looks like Krait MK2 my former daily flyer in ED.. Hmmm...
I'm in a similar mins set. I think if you plan on using the cl purely for what it's meant for, then it's decent. But when you step out of that function it really shows it's weaknesses. It's a shame because I love the look of this ship and though I like it, for the price it should be better
I don't believe you can buy it jn game just yet but I could be wrong but it does seem that when new ships release they aren't available in game a lot of the time straight away

Zeus IMO is amazing. I just bought one. Highly recommend it for Solo cargo missions and just day to day grind.

IMO CIG borked the cargo doors & grid on the CL ... Almost too much trouble to load, to use its full potential .

I was hyped too and the cl just didn't live up to it at all.
I also had that constant carrying and I hope to god it's a bug 🤣
I just got a c1 over the Zeus because I want it for bounty hunting as well. I can do ert with c1, but didn’t think the zues could.
You would definitely struggle! 😆
Zeus has more shields, cargo and bigger guns. It's slower but if you're a good pilot, you'd be able to do ERTs without an issue.
Bounty hunting with a c1? Well, good luck, i wish you try to attack me lmao.
@chrissssa I don't think he means pvp bounties tbf. The zeus struggles with bounties the c1 handles easily
I maxed assassin level with Mk. Absolutely love this ship
Star Chickenzen is back!

@@BattleChickenYT It is a nice daily driver and it feels like a home to me.
I think, I will stay with it.
Great review man. I was hyped for the zeus originally but also hear some complaints and swerved it at the time.
Might be worth taking another look 🤔
Thanks, man. I really appreciate it!
I dunno why but it did seem to get some negative opinions but i can't really remember why 😅
Good video dude

Have you tried the ES? I'd be curious to know your thoughts on it. Thanks anyway.
I actually haven't just yet but I definitely can do!
is the ship still just pledge only or can you purchase it ingame if so where also a note im playing on the 4.0 preview?
I don't believe you can buy it jn game just yet but I could be wrong but it does seem that when new ships release they aren't available in game a lot of the time straight away
upgrade your power and change the guns to Attrition 4. you will have no problem in combat.
@anthonyevans5380 interesting! I will probably do that.
I'm not a big stats guy but maybe it would be worth me looking at upgrades in future videos 🤔
