And here we are with the final day of the 30th Anniversary Speedrun Exhibition!

Info on the game:
Sonic 2: Community's Cut is a combined mod of Sonic 2 and the Genesis Plus GX emulator which adds widescreen, S2 2013 enhancements, and a whole lot more.

The category is based on characters, however, aside from choosing Sonic, there's 2 sub categories which are No Shield Control & Shield Control. Basically, Shield Control is utilizing all 3 elemental shields without actually having any of them with you - Fire, Lightning, and Bubble. I chose this mainly cause I've never actually seen how it looks, and it was also a category that was empty.
My notes on this run:
Something to notice here is that there's a keyboard displayed in the bottom right corner throughout the run. For the longest time I've been curious to figure out how I would be able to show my inputs on screen for speedruns, but recently was easily able to make it an add-on to OBS. Reason for this is that one of the rules is to show some kind of input displayer for Shield Control runs. Onto the run, I would honestly say that there's a few minor setbacks like Oil Ocean Act 2 boss battle, Metropolis Acts 1 & 3, and I think Death Egg. Cool tricks worth looking at is a couple of level warps like Emerald Hill Act 2, and both Acts in Casino Night. After hitting the speed shoes monitor, you want to simply run back to the beginning of the stage, then do the super peelout. Overall, not bad at all, improvements will come around in the next run. Back-to-back-to-back world records to end the special week. 🔥🔥🔥🎉💪🏽💯

Hey so uhh, I've been trying to do this for like a while now, but no matter what I try, I can't get the custom music working for Metropolis Zone Act 3. I've tried: following the custom music tutorial, renaming the file to "05.ogg", renaming the file to "0500.ogg" and renaming the file to "MTZ3.ogg", but it always plays the custom Act 1 music (likely due to MTZ3 being a separate level). Anyone know how to work around this issue or solve it? Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask btw.
