I can follow your tutorials all day. They are wonderful! but for some reason really really understanding what is happening with that polygon tool being used as a mask with paint one, just flies right over my head. My level of understanding it and seeing what's really happening has not increased by following tuts. I know experimentation and playing around, finding problems and learning how to fix it is the only real way. Anyone else have that issue? Thanks for the amazing tutorials. They are very well directed and I always have no problem getting everything to work.

You do an excellent job of doing a step-by-step procedure of creating the effect. However, I wish that you would include a short description of "why" you are using a particular tool to help create the effects and you proceed. I know that would take more time, however, it would be very helpful for the viewer to learn Fusion. Thanks for doing these Fusion teaching samples.

Wow, learned a lot! Thanks, you clearly know what you're doing. I'll chime in with the others, however, to ask that you slow down around the key transition points when you click on a new thing. As it is now, you go so fast that I have to rewind over and over and it nearly doubles the length of the video. But I'm learning a lot with you, very much appreciated!

great video! I'm having trouble in exporting the full video. When i render, my image in the back disappear and I have full black background. How do I render properly?
Nice animation! What I don't understand is why I'm unable to insert a background at the very beginning of the node tree. I tried and Fusion simply ignores the node when I connect a simple black bkgd to the Brushes group. However, at the top of the tree the bkgd works (where you put an image, I put a plain black canvas). Why is that?
Hello Davinci God, I got a question about fusion mediain. Whenever I put an image file into fusion by dragging the file into it, it makes a mediain node.
But then, when I copy that fusion clip into different projects using dynamic project function, that fusion keeps the mediain but loses its source so the mediain needs to be reconnected to the file. Is there a way to solve this or am I doing something wrong? It's not a big deal to drag the file again but my idea was making a clip that could be readily reusable for other projects but due to this, I had to manually reconnect them :(
How do you independently select a single edge of a rectangle, and move only that side and not effect the other 3 sides? Thanks!
This is a good one. However, I can't seem to find the fill after masking the brush stroke.
Great. I try to create settings and send to a friend. But Davinci doesn't see nested images (like here brush- png file) How to do it? It depends on the location of the file? How to make Davinci understood that need to refer to this file? Can you make a tutorial of it?

I'm deaf and absolutely rely on closed captions otherwise I never watch any video. Even the captions came up Ctrl+z because you must have said Control Gee and with accent sounds like Control Zee therefore the captions put Ctrl+Z

Answering for myself: Replace all the "mediain" with "loader" prior to create the macro.

Due to low system efficiency it taking longer than usual but after final rendering it will be okay, just go to the deliver page and render it out in a video format.

I also watched your other brush tutorial, and was wondering if I can do an alpha matt with this one too, so I can reuse it on different movies? 5:08 in the video, I get lost when you say hit Control Z and make a group?? Am I missing something cause Im still stuck there.
great videos for fast learning, except you do skip some steps here and there. and "maby" is not an option if people want to use this other then just copy your work.

I think, placing brush stroke behind the square on one side can be achieved by using 3D. Do you see any problem in that?
Yes you can achieve by using 3d but I think that will be very complicated for a simple effect.

Hi, I hope this leaving message can contact you. I follow your steps and successfully complete this fusion. It's amazing effect. I saved this fusion to setting. But the problem comes....If I create a new project, put the fusion into the new project. It will show "Media Offline". I knew that is because the "brush" is in another folder. How can we solve this issue without "Media Offline".

There are two options
1. Replace the media-in nodes with the loader node and locate your file in it and then save as a setting.
2. Go to the media pool right click on the missing media file and replace it with the new location’s file
i cant see the video in edit after doing all these steps

Drag your final output node in the viewer.
I don't set parameters at startup. They are already set in DR. Secondly, I use the parameters from the camera which are automatically imported when you hit "don't change".

Okay, you are good. But, please fix your accent...Especially with the part of "press ctrl z" to group the nodes. It took me several hours to figure out that it WASN'T CTRL Z to group, but instead it was
CTRL G!! Please fix it.
