  • In this video, I'm showing how to create an animated and cinematic title in DaVinci Resolve 16 and also saving them as a Macro Template for future uses.
    Fusion page in DaVinci Resolve 16 is a bit scary but when you understand it, it is way easier than you think. In this tutorial, I'm making a cinematic title from scratch and show you how to do it step by step so you can use this technique to create your versions.

    I’d love to hear some cool tricks how to play with positioning in resolve. In premiere you can move text or image with mouse around the output window and it’s really fast. It’s quite bothersome for me in resolve to use inspector/transform for the same purpose, but maybe I’ve missed something

    Hi, great tutorial got me sorted with masks. However, what is the advantage, if any, of saving node templates as a macro over saving them as a .setting file? I've used this option and it works great for me.
    All nodes are editable in my experience.
    I just create a new folder under C:\Program Files\Blackmagic Design\DaVinci Resolve\Fusion\Templates\Fusion\Your Folder Name. Then after selecting all nodes except the MediaOut node "right click, Settings, save as..." to anywhere on your computer with the .setting extension.
    Go to the saved file then drag and drop to the new folder you created under Blackmagic Design. You may see a popup message saying you don't have permission to save to this folder, just click continue and the file is saved.
    After restarting Resolve the saved setting file is available in Fusion from "Effects Library, Templates, Your Folder Name".
    It seems a bit convoluted but in practice is quite simple and quick. I think it saves having to tick all the boxes for permissions. The macro version is probably better if you are sharing Fusion compositions and want to protect certain parts I guess.

    • @EhsanMajd
      @EhsanMajd  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, thanks, as you mentioned the Macro are better when you want to share your project with others and you just want to give permission to make changes on a specific area, and with templates you can access to all of the settings and nodes. I covered the creating a template file topic on another video and also you explained it very completely on your comment, so thanks again. hope to see you again
