Hi Katherine,
The red light flashing may have the following conditions, which you can check and rule out:
1. When the cat or surrounding objects approach, the machine will stop running and flash the red light, wait for the object to leave and continue to complete the work after 30S.
2. Whether the bottom garbage drawer is closed and whether the garbage bag is properly set.
3. Whether the cat litter box is placed on a flat ground.

Sry disappointed it does not work. Came home to cat potty on carpet under bed and urine on floor. Cat can’t get in most time it gets stuck or doesn’t even dump.
