Yeah, you do realize that we don't exactly complain about: 'Series 11,' for no reason, right? We honestly think the fact that you're not bringing back the: 'Valyard,' 'Rani,' 'Meddling Monk, (Which, you had a perfect opportunity, to bring back, in: 'Rosa,')' 'Susan,' 'Ian,' 'Ace,' 'Paul McGann,' etc, is kind of disappointing? And, although I hate to say it, these actors aren't going to be around forever.
Also, literally every episode was boring as all heck. We all have a right to our own opinions, but seeing as: 'Rotten Tomatoes,' proves, that the vast majority of fans, thought it was garbage. And most of the people who have watched the show for years, or even decades, think it was garbage. Just our opinions, but we're the ones who pay to watch your program. We're also the ones who promote you, and get multiple false copyright claims, for it.
You guys can f-off. Steven Muppet & Russel T. Rabies were hacks too. The reason the BBC continue to make the show plagiaristic, melodramatic, cartoony trash is to appeal to you losers, the least you can do is appreciate it, instead of rage quitting over a superficial non-change, which is an integral part of the show's longevity.
The man's an absolute treasure, a legend, thank you so much Tom for the hours, no, weeks of pleasure you have given us, on tv, on audio and at public appearances. You ARE The Doctor!
Isn’t Tom Baker just marvellous! He always has been. He’s a British national treasure. I’d love to have this as an audio book, with Tom Baker narrating it, himself.
I read a fascinating account by the late Ian Marter, describing his and Tom's initial concept for this story, their meetings with director James Hill, and the task of shopping it around to various production companies (and of course raising money!). While it was never greenlit, there was certainly buzz. It appears that they even heard from Vincent Price, who'd expressed an interest in playing Scratchman! So wonderful that we finally get to sink our teeth into this epic story! I like to think Ian Marter would have been proud.
Tom Baker is THE DOCTOR. No other has come close. Have watched the show since the Pertwee era and quit watching a few years back. Mat was the last good Doctor. Thank you Tom for what promises to be Dr Who the way it was supposed to be.

What a FABULOUS audiobook this is (but I'm only halfway through it yet, so No Spoilers given or wanted!). When Tom is Dr Who he throws himself into the part which, apart from a few breaks, has been his alter-ego for more than 40 years on screen and radio/audio books. To have a Dr Who book which he himself has written, which such knowledge and experience, is a true marvel. Instead of hamming up the text, it's pre-hammed before he gets his wonderful oratory powers around it. Even how he announces the chapters is superbly done, with a cheeky, I'm-over-80-but-still-with-a-wicked-glint-in-my-eye manner. Please sir - can we have some more? This is the best thing who've ever done :)
I'm on chapter 8 right now and I'm already hooked, I've got it on Audible and the way the music plays up at the end of every chapter makes it really creepy and I love it! Mr Baker, you Sir are a saint and I'd love to have the opportunity to meet you one day.
I bought the Kindle version, then I realized how much I wanted actually to hold the book in my hands and turn real paper pages, and now, by gum, it looks like I'll be getting the audio version, too. It's like really traveling back in time: the wonder I felt in 1975, when a public broadcasting station in Minnesota first picked up episodes of Doctor Who: it's come back. Thank you, Tom. Thank you always.
Just hearing you read it makes me remember those Saturday nights from the 70's when i watched you as my favorite Doctor on my local PBS channel!!!! You and Sarah Jane were my favorite time travelling crime solving!!!!!! Liz will be missed!!!! My she rest in peace!!!!!!!

Thanks Tom!!!! You were the Dr. That ever saw!!!! You will always be the quintessential Doctor and shale always be so!!!!! I plan on buying this as soon as i see it on the shelves!!!!!!! This first reading has got me spine tingling excited to read it!!!!!
How awesome would it be, now that Tom is back on board, if Big Finish could do a re-jigged, audio only version of ‘The Five Doctors’ with new dialogue from Tom spliced in. Tom could read reworded responses to Elizabeth Sladen’s original lines, thus matching him with Sarah Jane. Then Katy Manning, as Jo Grant, could read Sarah Jane’s original lines in response to Jon Pertwee. Convoluted? Yes. In keeping with The Five Doctors script twists? Also yes.
I'm excited for this book. It's a shame your script never became at the very least a television movie. However, i think the story can be used in a future movie, whether television or not. I've already got the Twelve Angels Weeping book, and it's really good. Can't wait for this spring
The man is has a voice like silk. I hope he narrates the audio book and how does he keep looking so good? Bless you Tom, or it should be Sir Tom Baker.

The guy is a genius. Should have been writing the show all along.

I think Jodie does a good job as the Doctor, in my opinion she plays it a little like Mr. Baker. How ever some of the stories have been a little lame.
I think being read to by Tom Baker has to be one of the most joyous experiences in life. ‘Buy one for your Granny’...best sales pitch ever!!😂❤️
