Thomas bryant had a player option and was most likely going to opt in no matter what, he opted out to take less to help Miami so its more about signing Burks and offering Love more after he opted out and got a new deal.

Riley had done a terrible job going after in free Agency. He did great in the draft,but why in the hell did he resign,Bryant, and go after Burk,and bring back Drew Smith, when he could have gotten Tryus Jones,and a better center. The reason we signed burks is to provide more offense off the bench, yall forgetting this guy has been a consistent 13ppg for a few years now, and averaged 15th in this years playoffs we needed more offense and we got it

Good point, I guess the main issue with Miami Heat fans isn't really about the fact that we picked up Thomas bryant. I think it's more of the fact how soon we got him. There was no market for him but he opted out of his player option to resign and take less money so I got to respect that

We vent on Riley because he overpays for players, and never installs a team option (especially undrafted players that have one good season). Riley is unable to get stars to the Heat. We got Butler because no one wanted him. The List goes on.

The Heat front office has failed for the past 3 years. They got lucky by going to the finals after having terrible regular seasons. No one is held accountable. Riley needs to get his gold watch and retire.
