    I was almost kidnapped when I was 8. I left my front yard for literally 5 minutes (which my grandma did not allow me to do)
    2 men told me they were lost and asked for directions to the nearby school. A neighbor came out and they sped away.
    The next day as I was walking to school they followed me and told me to get in the car, but my grandma came out of the house and looked down the street and saw a man getting out of the car to get me. She screamed, which alerted me, and I got away.
    We also need to teach kids that a grown up stranger should never be asking a child for help. They should be asking another grown person.

      I had 2 adults in a car, male and female ask me for directions and at that time I was only 9 years old. Even at that age, I was like why are they asking me and stayed far away from the car.

      My mom was also nearly kidnapped, assaulted, or both as a child. She was around age 7 or 8, walking home from buying groceries for her mom when a car passed her, then drove back and stopped beside her. He opened the car door and she she saw his pants were unzipped. She ran to a nearby church where she told the nuns what happened and one of then walked her home. Some time later, she was terrified when a little girl in her area was missing and later found dead. This was in the '50s, so it was rare to hear about abductions and murder, especially of children. Obviously, her mom never let her go alone again. The creepier thing is that she said she was sure he was a man who worked in the grocery store she'd just been to.

      Almost the exact same thing happened to me just outside of Collingwood Ontario back around 1993.. A van was coming down highway 26 west towards Collingwood. I was riding my bike home just before dark from a friend's. When this van starting veering off the onto the gravel shoulder with the passenger door open. It didn't look right to me. I panicked and went straight to the nearest home. I held onto the door handle knocking and screaming and a neighbor came out. The van actually stopped but the neighbor came around and I told him what happened and went home. They where still talking when i left. They said they just wanted directions. I don't believe that. Why would they ask a child instead of going to 1 of the 2gas stations within sight?

      @lilmiss fatn3ss it's possible the mother sued the school for money, to help replace the money that may have been lost from wages, when/if the family was too depressed to work, or too focused on the child's recovery, too be able to work.
      Many times parents sue a place for incompetence or other misdeeds that result in their child's abduction or disappearance. Ans if/when they win the money from the suit, that money is often times put towards the missing child's case, or towards setting up some other kind of charity to help other families who may have lost their children as well.
      Having someone declared dead legally does not automatically mean they want the individual to be dead. Sueing isn't always about financial gain, or greed. Sometimes it's a way to bring attention to a case or particular problem.

      My brother, when he was 9-10, walked out of his school during lunch because he was being bullied and the teachers screamed at him for it and he just walked out and stood by the side of the school till classes ended. This was a decade ago, I'm still upset at how no one, absolutely NO ONE noticed he was missing, no one noticed a kid at the side of the school just standing there either? My mother was angry and scared, the security guard didn't know this happened either but she's the one who found him through cameras thankfully. Public schools just ain't it chief.

    • @louisacapell
      @louisacapell 5 ปีที่แล้ว +22

      You overestimate the organization of a school system or even a single School. For the most part teachers are only there to get a paycheck and they really don't care about your kid. People live in this fantasy where they think everything is orchestrated and organized and put together and that everybody is on the same page and knows what they're doing. They don't. Not enough School oh, and not in a hospital, not even at a mechanic. There are no systems put in place that people actually follow. Nobody pays attention to anything and nobody tries. And that is actually the truth. Everybody is half-assing everything.

      @anonymousperson3023 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @lilmiss fatn3ss yeah. She declared her dead not only for the money but girls other (maybe) unforeseen reasons. Based off the logic youte going off, this would be the equivalent of me reading somewhere that only 45% of males get into this college and 35% of woman get in and immediately think "this school is sexist." That's the level of logic you're using. Also, what's wrong with the reply you got? That person suggested an alternative motive for declaring her legally dead and that makes sense. Although she declared her dead for money, that doesnt mean that that's her sole reason for doing so. How old are you? 10? Cause your flawed logic sure makes you sound like you're 10

      @lilmiss fatn3ss first off, why are you commenting 3 different times about the same topic. Secondly, what are you talking about? I never said ANYTHING about I want to feel you and you being cute. I dont want some of your idiocracy to run onto me so I'm glad I'm no where near you. Lastly, why arent you addressing any of the points I made? We are here to argue about her intentions with declaring her legally dead. So let's argue about that and not something unrelated.

    • @anonymousperson3023
      @anonymousperson3023 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @lilmiss fatn3ss also, EVEN IF money was her sole cause, so what? She's just a realist. It was EIGHT YEARS! If money was her sole purpose, she probably realized that her kid was dead. She wouldve gotten over the grieving period and came to terms with it.

      It was a different time. Even in the late 1990s and early 2000s many parents still allowed things that most don't today. My oldest child was abducted from a small neighborhood store when he was 4 years old. He was with his brother (same father, different mother) and that brothers older sister when the girl got mad at him and left him at the store alone. He was staying the night at their house. He was found 19 hours later in a different city after the man's mother recognized him from a photo on the news and called the authorities. That was the scariest time of my life. It was many years before I allowed my kids to even walk next door alone, and sleepovers weren't allowed unless it was with my mom or sisters. It was 1999 and child abductions in our area were still relatively rare. My youngest child who was born in 2005 wasn't allowed to walk to school without me until he was in the 6th grade, and his school was a block away. At his age my friends and I were riding buses all over town and hanging out at the mall without adult supervision.

      @madreep 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@crowtein6104 yes they did. And didn't charge him with anything, they called him a "well meaning stranger". A well meaning stranger calls the authorities. They do not put my four year old in their vehicle and drive almost an hour to take him to his home. He does not sit there with my son for damn near 24 hours still not calling the authorities. I'm traumatized and angry. My son is traumatized and angry. The police had a rape kit done on him and kept his clothes and shoes for evidence. They say nothing happened to him. My son says nothing happened. But he's 24 years old and angry, depressed, and has been suicidal on occasion. He refuses to go to counseling, he refuses to talk about it, and gets angry when I ask him about it. He says that he had some kool aid and played video games. And that the man was nice to him. He doesn't act like the man was nice to him. I saw the police looking in dumpsters for him. I pray no other parent ever experiences that. I was held and interrogated for hours until they checked the videos at my job to prove that I was st work the whole day. I was involved in a custody dispute and they thought maybe I took him. Sorry to go off. I purposely didn't say what happened because my son is 24 years old now and I'm still mad.

My parents told me that one of the drivers would pick me up ( my dad wasnt available for whatever reason) but that they didnt know Which one it would be.. it ended up being a Newer driver I didnt know yet. I refused to get in the car with him, until he got my dad over the radio and I heard my dad say it was ok.

If parents didn’t pick up their kid after 30 minutes of the school ending, they were put in the information office till the parents came.

    Bianca Lebron’s case happened just 15 miles from where I live. Unfortunately, it was overshadowed in the news by 9/11 and never really got the coverage it should have, especially compared to other high profile abductions. It always bothered me, as if because she was Latino it didn’t matter as much and I never felt that was correct.
    There have been occasional billboards with Bianca’s face on it in the Bridgeport area but you almost never hear about it in the media these days unless it happens to be covered because of a significant anniversary passing (coming up on 20 years soon.)
    As with all these cases, somebody out there (besides the person who did it) knows what happened or has information that could lead to the case being solved. All it takes is that one bit of evidence of information being brought forward. It’s horrible that somebody would do this to her and her family but it is not likely she has been living elsewhere all these years with no contact. I know there have been exceptions so there is always a sliver of hope but 99% of these cases don’t end well. Let’s hope this one, at least, has an end one day. I pray that somebody who knows something will provide the information needed to at least allow Bianca to be brought home to her family.

    • @same5952

      Very few of these cases, Latina or not, would get much publicity if the victims' families didn't keep pushing and pushing to keep their cases in front of the public eye. I hope Bianca's family still keeps calling cops and media regularly to keep her case alive.

    That poor girl didn’t wanna show up at her classroom without her cupcakes girls are so sensitive what a shame get your kids out of school take responsibility for your own child’s education safety and well-being.

      Most parents nowadays are too dependent on public schools as babysitters so they can work. They don't want the responsibility or can't handle the job.

      Atmos Godspeed Her mom should have helped her with the homework instead of punishing her by not allowing her to bring the cupcakes to school.

    I believe the woman in Ohio is Alexis. She even had the same birthmark as Alexis. What are the odds of that?

    Your videos are interesting but I think you need to tone down the background music because I find it distracting.

    Damn girl the music in your videos really did change for the better because I can’t stand listening to this at all. It’d be cool if you could reupload without the background noise.
