The voice after his vocal is a scream. The Anatolian people are using it for show their pain when a person past away who is they love so much. This song is a requiem and i think this is his best show for show his octaves.

Btw he was shot in head in 2011 and survived but his left side is not as strong as before. He can no more use his left hand & arm. His tv program called ibo show still on tv and shown weekly on Star tv
Thank you for making this reaction video about Ibrahim Tatlises. He's THE voice in Turkey and middle eastern. A true master tenor. Unfortunatley been shot into his head but still alive. Thanks god for letting him survive.

Haha It's not a church theme setup. Think about Conan Show but let's assume Conan O'Brian is also one of the greatest Irish folk singer :) Yeah, that's the setup and the young actress got emotional because she can understand that lyrics and just maybe she knows that she is withnessing a rare performance for this so sad Kurdish elegy. (p.s. Singer has been an Elvis since 90's on MEA and E.Europe. Also especially on Israel.)
Thanks for reacting on my recommendation. I can see that lots of people is upset about him getting publicity because of his horrible personality. They might have a point but my intent was introducing you to a form of folk music and sadly this horrible person is really good at it. Hope you enjoyed his talent and the form(Uzun Hava). The women voices you have heard in the background is called "zılgıt" and it is a form of requiem/cry that is popular in mainly Kurdish culture. It is also used in cheerful songs as well. If you want to explore more of anatolian folk music (not only Turkish) you should check "Kardeş Türküler"(Songs of Siblings), at least they are politically correct :D
The term Zılgıt alone is Turkish; it is not only used in Kurdish culture in the Turkish Azerbaijan region
@@erz2479 you should read "popular" and "mainly" parts. Ululation is not specific to middle east in fact it is used widely in Arab world and North Africa. Nobody owns "zılgıt" since it is practiced in many cultures, my point was; in Turkey, Kurdish population performs it most consistently and widely compared the other ones. I have attended many Turkish weddings since my childhood and haven't heard a single "zılgıt". I am pretty sure if anyone tried to do that they would be confronted and accused of being "terrorist" since I lived in Thrace region and anything resembling Kurdish culture is taboo in there. You can't argue against its' Kurdish connotations in Turkey but as I said ululation is widely used in many cultures. @@wolweriness One thing has nothing to do with the other Zılgıt even the Indians have, you are welcome to show and introduce the Kurdish culture but whoever it is about culture please be fair and don't say turkey doesn't have it or something like that or use it less, Zılgıt will Used in different things in turkey but women mostly don't do it before men Uzun hava will use it or at the henna evening you hear it very often
