Looks fun to use...can a person put those inside wooden ring cone with sandpaper on the jooltool or maybe the green inside polishers that rio grande sells, looks like its the same arbor as a standard polisher
+Robert matteson Yes, it is the standard arbor, so yes, I do believe you would be able to use the ring cone. I need to find one that has sand paper. But I am really excited about the one from JoolTool as the abrasives last so much longer. I was able to play with the prototype for it when I was in L. A. a couple of weeks ago and it was heavenly.
I'm just starting out and tooling up. It seems that it is possible that this could replace, for the most part, the polishing bench lathe, particularly if one has a flex-shaft for finer or inside work. Is that the case? If you had to choose one or the other for budgetary reasons, which one would you choose? Thanks!
+Martha Miles Yes Martha, that is exactly what I think too. Mine has been WONDERFUL!!! I started with the JoolTool for Metal Polishing. Then I have added on to it from there. But with that I was able to do quite a bit for my jewelry. I am now also working with glass and stones. Send me an email, let me know what your primary uses will be and I can help figure out which kit would be the best for you.
+Brenda Smith I asked Anie about this and she said no, you don't. That is because the discs are off loading, rather they don't hold onto the material as you go from one grit to another. It isn't like when you use a polishing compound that is applied to a buff. In the case of the JoolTool, the abrasive is embedded to the wheel itself, or rather the pad you attach to the wheel (Ninja disc.)
Thanks Melissa for what you did by showing the order at the end of the video of which wheels you used. That's a big help.
Hi there, where can I buy the equipment and the wheels to sand and Polish the ring that you demonstrated with?

Do you get contamination from grit to grit without washing/cleaning your piece between?

Why using the diamond? Couldn't you start by using the XL scratch remover then moving down from there?
Good question. Yes, I could have started with the scratch eraser. And now that I have had more experience with it, that is where I start more often.
Thanks Melissa!

if you polish an old oil lamp what are the consequences expected?
+rob armstrong - I guess that depends on what the oil lamp looks like. I would need more information before I could answer this one for you. Sorry.
