We need to remember the veterans who lost their lives in the wars. We also need to remember that there were millions of innocent lives lost as well during these wars. We are still seeing innocent men, women and children being killed in the wars of today. Looks like we did not learn anything over the years.
My last attendance in person should be in 2018. Don't blame me for being non Canadian staying absent when I can feel being excluded as a Canadian. Don't tell me I tried to be Canadian by attending in the past. Whether I attend or not I am still a Canadian. During Harper era, I was once helped to wear a poppy pin respectfully in public for my defense of Canadian values out of my surprise. I was not prepared to be mocked by members of the Canadian Armed Forces on the streets in Central Richmond, BC, upon my return from England (after gradating in law) in 2017.
