To be clear, it is not military propaganda he was making an ironic joke on the fact it is anything but that. And he is calling out people who are unironically calling it that. It's like people thinking starship troopers is that.
The book was a militaristic fever dream, but yes the movies and all other media definitely isn't propaganda. The original book itself... well it is complicated. It is good though.
The best military propoganda ever made was Gate. Cuz it has anime girls, dragons and 'splosions. Also JSDF funding. Terrible as propoganda, making the lazy, irresposible soldier the MC, and showing the flaws in military command... but it was a hell of an anime.
Honestly, as a Hellsiver player. Just take your time and do your research. There's no "Fear of Missing Out" in the game, because all added content is available and open to everyone forever. Sure, the weapons will be locked until you unlock it. But that does leave room for you to explore. The game is fun, and lets you experiment with your stuff and lets you play your way. And don't worry if you don't have friends to play with, the randoms are nice and will be happy to play with you.
"Sure the weapons are locked till you unlock it" Thats real progression like how pretty much all games used to be until loot boxes, battlepasses, and microtransactions doomed the industry to the greedy hellhole it is today
Besides, how much democracy can a 7 year old spread? With those tiny noodle arms, they couldn't even carry a Liberator Assault Rifle, much less toss a stratagem beacon
The games a riot even as a terrible player. I keep having guys 30 levels over my head join my missions and save my butt from my terrible decision making.. when they aren't calling air strikes on my position for fun.
@@ChicagoReacts Nah, I'm a level 53, I have everything in Equipment and Upgrades, and when I play to relax, I just auto join som random SOS-Beacon low level lobbies to assist as real reinforcement, dropping high level support weapons and Airstrikes.
You definitely need to watch Bricky's video for Helldivers as well. Well made, entertaining and giving a bit more insight on what's going on in the game. Plus he addresses something that some of the community around this game complaining about in the beginning of its launch.
7 year old children are allowed (required) to work in the industry. enlistment age for helldivers is 18. this is an incorrect review of helldivers 2 after all!
If you want to get a longer view of some of the recording sessions that went into this video, one of Maxor's teammates (the one on fire in the water whose scream Max will never forget) is the vtuber Bao the Whale. She has her VOD from the game session on her YT page.
I definitely wouldn't say "a lot" of things are military propaganda, at least in the video game space. Maybe some of the more popular military shooters, but that's a small proportion of the game's space. And the people who would know better aren't the typical target for actual military propaganda. Militaries want their recruits young and still physically fit, which just so happens to be the type to not recognize or think critically about such propaganda. Helldivers 2 is actually a satire of such propaganda, although the satire can go over the heads of those similarly young or uncritical when playing. It doesn't help that a fair amount of the game's inspiration comes from a movie from '97 called Starship Troopers, a similarly satirical take on military propaganda and the like, from which Max0r actually referenced several times in the video, so plenty of people in that younger demographic straight up wouldn't recognize the parallels.
let me ask you this then what is the difrence of 8-9 or 9-10 or 10-11 or 11-12 or even 12-13 maby 13-14 cant forget 14-15 yet there is still 15-16 and lets not forget 16-17. we do know how the bugs move they were put there by us to farm them for E-710, then they got out.
ok maybe military isnt the asshole in this one thats where you're wrong, kiddo, military is THE asshole in this one spoilers: the bugs are used as fuel source, the bots are just... there, trying to just do whatever, if you sneak by, you can even hear them talk between each other, so they're 100% sentient
My favourite disturbing ship name if "the fist of family values" because that can have some seriously messed up implications.
That’s been my ship name since launch and I have no regrets
That's been my name as well
Though peak meme/shitpost is Wings of Redemption, cause, y’know.
@@nash6237 Wings of Liberty also works.
What messed up implications if may I ask?
"The military isn't a total asshole in this one. "
Ahag😂😭👌
A perfect take. No notes.
I laughed so hard. It's perfect.

Yea if you are not a chronically online Twitter user you will easily see that it is a joke

*story with military or war plotline*
Obvious propaganda

The song is by Johnathan Young. He has made a few of them. JT Music, Divide, and a few others have made fan music for this game. They’re all bangers!

No there is FOMO it's just different like we can never fight on Malevolon Creek again.

All good info. Thanks! I still think I'd be bad at it.
yeah, like the game has BEEN out and im barely getting the game next week
@@jabbawookeez01how is it
If it helps, the "children over 7" line isn't referring to actual child soldiers. It's more the age you can start contributing to the cause.
Besides, how much democracy can a 7 year old spread? With those tiny noodle arms, they couldn't even carry a Liberator Assault Rifle, much less toss a stratagem beacon
@@weldonwin what if we gave them a slingshot for the stratagems? Wait, why don't WE have that?

Fair enough
Mostly i just hate feeling like I'm bringing down the fun bc people have to babysit me, lol. I like to be a productive member of the team.

7 is lucky 6 is not. That's why you need to be over 7.

Some of the best fun to be had right now, would love to see you and the rest of the crew having a go at this game :)
