I had to scoff when charlie refers to blackmailers as low life's...... well what does murdering someone make him?
Someone with such a severe personality disorder such as he seems to have doesn't self reflect or take accountability, apparently.

@karenaltschwager5929 yeah. I don't think he'll pull off a Danielle Resnick... Somehow she got people to feel bad for her. Charlie isn't going to convince anyone of that extortion story- especially not with them constantly speaking in code. But I applaud his effort - he's taking the only chance he has to pull off a miracle.
The fact that they couldn't keep their mouths shut says it all. Even when they said didn't want to talk about it, they still talked about it. 😮
Imagine you’re innocent and a random guy hands you a letter with a article of your murdered son-in-law demanding $5000. If someone asked you who is was from, you’d say “I have no idea!” Instead, Donna said “I have a pretty good idea” and then later on said it involved “the two of them” and that charlie would have a pretty good idea what it was about. That’s all you need to hear to KNOW they were involved. Not the behavior of innocent people…or even innocent people being extorted and scared. They KNOW what’s going on…that’s a red flag

Imo she didn't immediately totally connect the bump with the murder. The whole event was weird but a significant amount of initial response "was it the IRS?". This is from a do as much as possible in cash family when receiving payments .
I would have called the police instantly right from the spot.

I feel so sorry for those boys. Their father is murdered and one day (if they don’t already) will know their mother, uncle and grandmother had him killed. And they haven’t been able to see their paternal grandparents. It’s so tragic and evil. I hope they can be raised far away from any of the Adelsons and have peace and love in their lives.

Innocent til proven guilty? Also, this trial has really highlighted that Charlie and his mother seem complicit in this, but there’s been next to nothing implicating Wendi in this job..

I was much less impressed with the defense attorney today than I had been in previous days, he really could not argue against these audio recordings in a way that made sense with the extortion defense
Charlie says to Donna "Nooo..." they wouldn't be blackmailing you, that's crazy... um, if you have been blackmailed before wouldn't your reaction be "AGAIN?"

Yes a double worry for Charlie IE either law enforcement or the bad guys turning on him which he can fix with another payment of murder for hire from his professional casual sex liason , but if it is "the cops" he is safe no worries bring it on , too safe now actually because it was.
There’s truly no telling what all those people have told the kids. I’m sure these narcissist have made themselves out to be the ones wronged. I just hope that they aren’t so brainwashed they never search this out for themselves.
The Adelson vacuum can't last forever... and won't. I won't be surprised if they don't turn their backs on Wendi once they realize the entire plot.

you bypassed the most important part of the recorded conversation btw Donna and Charlie : "if they're threatening you then you should go to the police DONNA'S RESPONSE WE CANT GO TO THE POLICE WE ARE BEYOND THAT NOW..."
That's the line that nailed it for me as far as Donna's complete involvement.
What killed me was when they crossed Lacrosse. They ripped him a new one about not immediately going to the police when that’s exactly what Charlie’s defense is!

I’m surprised the defense brought up Katie lying to Charlie about calling the under cover agent when he completely lied to his mom and Katie about what he said to the agent. What a coward. Katie naively thought he was a real friend. Smh.
This case is crazy. My heartbreaks for Dan, especially his boys. Justice for Dan Markel.

If I were a juror, I would be thinking, even if they have an incling their phone calls are being listened into, why are they so cryptic in their conversations if they have nothing to hide??
I’m so glad to hear you finally say something about right his animation and reaction. Yes in court. I cannot believe his lawyer has not coached him on that. Through this entire trial he should be stoic and not show any emotion unless it’s appropriate. What he is showing is a very guilty hand.
His ego makes him unteachable.

I thought the same exact thing!!!! Clearly Donna was so panicked, she couldn’t discern the situation because even the drop off “bump” was evident to me that he was NOT “about that life.” I could have done better acting than that by pulling out my make shift urban accent. 😂😂
You don’t take the paper period!! You’d be perplexed as to why a stranger would be talking to you, and you would express they must have the wrong person and politely excuse yourself and walk away. Then call the police and advise them of the interaction to help them find the true people involved.

What do you think the jury is thinking about Charlie claiming innocent yet his best witness to back up his story is not there (Donna)
If his theory was true wouldn't Donna be there testifying to being extorted, wouldn't she be there supporting him . They both look guilty ASF by her hiding
There are technicalities involved with the state's decision not to call Donna. As an unindicted co-conspirator, she's got to be terrified at this point.
With the Chat Group giving their opinions on cases, the more he can build his understanding on how a jury might be swayed on said types of cases.
His platform is fun for him, but he also gets a good look on how modern semi-intelligent people react to different types of evidence.

This entire family are disgusting, disturbed & evil!!! They had the father of those 2 young boys’ murdered because their mom wanted to move back where her psycho family lived!!! I hope they all are convicted & the boys’ parental grandparents get full custody so they can raise them far away from all of them & away from where all this happened!! Even though this bump was about the murder, but I can’t help but wonder how dirty all of the Adelsons are when Charlie keeps asking if it was someone from the government or military. That piece blew mine mind. Plus Donna tells Charlie the letter involves the “two of us”. The agent actually said Katie’s name and not his ex-girlfriend. I’m glued to this trial.
He clearly has been evading taxes for a long time! When he asked about the government, he was thinking of tax evasion. He did say that later on one of the phone calls, I’m very curious as well, though about what he meant about the military???

Whoever asked the question about Katie not knowing who Tuto and Tato were... she knew EXACTLY who they were and that they went together for the hit because she delivered the money to them after... she was either acting purposely dumb (which she tried to do at her trial to no avail) or didn't want Charlie to know Sigfredo did it for her... it's possible Katie just said some gang members did it and didn't tell Charlie who. Not sure which as Katie only recently, sort of, starting telling the truth...
Today is gonna be a no holds barred day in that courtroom. Firmly believe they have enough to charge the mom now.
I vote for the synopsis tomorrow night. Because Peter, will be able to analyze the entire days testimony and possible cross examination.
They discussed dad's birthday present so much as if it was a very special present; would be interesting if the prosecution would ask him what did dad actually get for his birthday that year...

I can see how it could be extremely helpful to a defense attorney to hear from the public (in this case, viewers) and how they feel about a variety of these cases. It could help shape jury selection or case strategy. So I think you're sincere when you say it!
Pete, if you do not play it Live, Surviving the Survivor channel is in the courtroom and has top local defense atty discussing as he is watching it on computer.
Just the fact they won't discuss this stuff over the phone shows their involvement and guilt.. Donna is just as guilty as Charlie.period.

Fwiw, recaps on Surviving the Survivors YT channel are terrific - as well as attorney Carl Steinbeck's. (They've been doggfdly pursuing truth in this case from the beginning.)
Charlie’s testimony is going to be interesting. How he explains everything and puts all the puzzle together to create is going to be virtually impossible. Based on the evidence, any notion of extortion is out of the door.
Bullseye, Peter! 🎯 No one could have given a better initial summary. This has to be your best work. If the Adelsons had been innocent, there would have been plain talk: “Look what happened to me today!” She would have clearly told Charlie what the agent said. Her reaction did Charlie’s defense no favors. It displayed guilty knowledge.

Katie did say when testifying in this trial that she did know their tato & Tuta names but she didn't explain that to Charlie; also said she didn't want Charlie to know that's her baby daddy Nick name bc she knew he wouldn't be doing this or it would implicate him.
10:21 what I found a very interesting is the grandmother actually walked toward the bumper guy as he was leaving like she walked in the same direction he did just behind him. I feel like I would’ve gone any other direction then behind him I don’t know.
The one thing that makes this family really scummy is that they quit allowing Dan's own parents to be with the only remaining trace of Dan, his children. That is sick and inexcusable and makes me suspicious about them in general. Very stupid move on their part and it's going to come back to bite them.
It's well beyond biting them at this point. In a few years, Dan's sons will be 18 and can reclaim their name.
The house of lies will burn down with the Adelsons trapped inside...so to speak.

No. They are not on the witness list. The state could have called them but rumor has it that they would have pleaded the 5th so waste of time
Also state has rested their case so they can't call anymore witnesses
