If anything, the escalating anger tells me she wasn’t aware anything had happened to him. You don’t get more and more angry at someone for ‘ignoring’ you if you know they’re not responding for a reason.

@@lilgnomey it wasn’t escalating anger. It started out as anger and escalated to a more concerned tone as she sobered up, hoping he would answer while becoming more aware of what she would have to face the next morning when she finally got the guts to go out looking for him.

I’ll never get over how KR played Brian, kissing him at Johns house, then flirting with him through texts, then totally ignored him thereafter. @Elsley12 Obviously it’s awful to use someone, but it seems like she was using Higgins to sort of get back at or to get John’s attention after that situation she caught John in on vacation. Then she ghosted Higgins. Judging from their texts (he so generously saved before destroying his SIM card and throwing away his phone on that military base the day before he received a preservation order) it was obvious he was way more into her than she was to him. She sounded a lot more casual and he was asking about a serious future relationship, badgering her. He texted her a lot and it was sounding rather desperate. He also sounded angry and resentful about being ghosted, insisting that wasn’t true.

I don’t find it suspicious at all. Blackout drunk Karen caused innocent people to have to have their private lives exposed. He was a single middle aged man. No doubt he had embarrassing stuff on his phone. He would rather take the heat rather than public embarrassment. Not suspicious at all.

I'm not sure how a "news" show leaves out the newsworthy content. THAT was the story. When I first saw this case making news and knowing nothing about it, I assumed they arrested a guilty person. What isn't highlighted by anyone is the testimony that convinced me she was set up. The Dighton police officer who was at her father's house when her SUV was seized. This was hours after John died and the vehicle was never in her possession again. He testified that the taillight was cracked and a small amount was missing, he didn't say the whole thing was missing. So if most of the light was on the car then, how did it end up on the Albert's lawn hours, days and weeks later. At different times she asked or stated different things. On the phone, she questioned (either Jen McCabe or Roberts) if she hit him, or could she have hit him. But it was in the presence of 4 witnesses later that morning when they were doing CPR on John that she repeatedly said "I hit him, I hit him, I hit him, I hit him" when questioned by the EMT. That was confirmed by 4 people, the two fire/EMT, and Karen McCabe and Roberts. Peter, all these arguments and how KR's case stands is really a "My Cousin Vinny" moment.
Vinny: "Miss Veto, does the defense's case hold water?"
Miss Veto: "No, the defense is wrong"
    Vinny: "Why?"
And, she goes on to explain how the defendant's car could never be the one at the scene.
AJ and DY presented 3rd party culprit.
Lally successfully confused the jury with 60+ witnesses of hearsay.
See TurtleBoy's interview with one of the witnesses describing the deliberations. Lally had them a confusion over the stupidest things and they were effectively thrown off all logic, and proceeded on "feelings" and their own "personal logic".
In 2nd trial, the defense has to go hard on physics and engineering. In other words, go full on with experts to prove the impossibility of a pedestrian strike.
The jury didn't get it AT ALL with the AARCA guys, AND, the defense missed the judge instruction that the jury NOT think at all of their own personal knowledge. The jury had among them an engineer, a nurse, a lawyer, and an EMT, and the foreman, a former LE, did not permit these to argue their knowledge based on judge instruction. The juror interview was with the EMT guy,
    THAT was wrong.
My opinion: the jury hung because of feelings and opinions.

People don't realize that when you are shocked by such a thing as finding someone you love dead, you're mind tends to go bonkers trying to process what happened to a point that it is not rational... you are in shock.
When I woke up and found my beloved cat deceased in my living room for no apparent reason, I was in shock... all kinds of irrational thoughts went through my head... did I forget to lock the pet door and did an animal get in the house and kill him, did he get shocked and killed by the outlet... your brain goes crazy with "did (this) happen"? I also felt immediate guilt, that somehow it was my fault, and I felt guilt that I was asleep when it happened.
I had to know what happened so I had the vet do an autopsy and It turned out that it was an unforeseeable medical condition and had I been awake, the vet said there was nothing I could've done. Only after the vet told me this was I able to fully realize that I'd done nothing to cause what happened and it eased my guilt. I'd had my cat in for a well pet check just two months prior and he was seemingly very healthy... the vet told me that the medical issue would've only been found if an X-ray had been done and you don't X-ray a seemingly healthy cat.
I think Higgins' snow plow had something to do with it, whether JO fell down and Higgins didn't see him or whatever. I strongly feel that Higgins is deeply involved somehow.

    1. It's obvious from the VMs that she was angry @ John.
    2. The 2020 episode left out very large amount of the evidence in the case and they skewed it to seem like the supporters were ill-informed because of TB.
    3. KR thought about a lawyer before the call from Proctor.
    4. John's BAC way above the legal limit but he didn't "appear" drunk in the video. He was Hammered!
    5. The feeling Karen got from his mother was what prompted her thought of them blaming her. Absolutely 💯 believe you can get vibes from a single look

Based on all of the text messages we heard in court John clearly had a pattern of drinking and staying out late. She’s no angel either but it sounds like this was an ongoing issue with them.
She drops him off at the house. He goes into make sure it’s OK for them to go inside. I know they were invited but they didn’t know each other super well and it was late at night. If They had followed somebody home from the bar and arrived at the house at the same time they would’ve all gone in together.
They arrived alone so I can see why he jumped out of the car to double check before she parks and gets out.
Now to your point. She drops him off and is waiting for some sort of signal that it’s OK to go in. That could be him coming back to the car or he could text or call her inside. Five or 10 minutes goes by with no response. she’s like F this and leaves.
In hindsight she could’ve gone in but based on previous history it sounds like she wanted to make a point by leaving as she was fed up with this behavior. His house wasn’t that far away anyway.
To your point, she knows that he doesn’t have a ride home so she’s staying awake angrily texting him and calling him. The voicemails are bad because she’s pissed off that she hasn’t heard from him but there’s also a lot of worry in her voice with each passing call or text with no response.
There’s things she could’ve done differently but the way the scenario played out in real time makes sense.

6:49 @lawyeryouknow If you recall during Kerri’s testimony, she stated when she was driving the Okeefs to the hospital she over heard a phone call between them and Karen. Peggy was IMMEDIATELY blaming karen… yelling and accusing her of just leaving him…. so much so that John’s dad stepped in and told Peggy we aren’t going to blame karen and it wasn’t her fault. Again this was Kerri’s recounting on the stand. So early on possibly before they had even gotten to the hospital she was blaming Karen.
I believe Karen’s reason to go back To John’s was to sit with the children while they told them what happened as Paul stated in his interview. He also said something about him having to tell Peggy as well that they weren’t going to blame karen so clearly Peggy had her thoughts on what happened pretty quickly which probably validates Karen’s suspension about the vibe and why she was very uncomfortable.
Karen was grieving as well but It’s not her home, It’s Johns and all his family is there consumed in their grief. If it were myself I would have felt very out of place without the accusations and unsure if I should be there. It wasn’t the time for it to be about her grief, so I believe that why she got her stuff, took her car and went to her parents to grieve around people she felt comfortable with and that cared about her.

Karen said that her tail light was broken, and that her father was checking a bulb to see if operational, but it was not that bad earlier (cracked). She searched for the DUI lawyer right away and was sensing John's mother thought she did it??? Guilt Karen also said to the niece and said John was hit by a plow?? Why would Jen take the call from Karen if they were trying to cover up something?? Karen was drunk and still legally drunk 9 hours later and did not probably know she hit John, and her computer for backup camera detected a incident. She was also very angry with John. The vehicle went to Dighton for her ride with her father and already damaged before it was seized and at the same time tail light pieces were planted?? Where is the dna from all the folks dragging John outside, putting him by the curb, placing his cell phone under him, put the broken glass by him, sneaker off, hat off, etc. C'mon Guilt of DUI and Manslaughter #JohnOkeefe

He was beaten to death by the home owner, his pal with a crush on Karen and the home owners punk nephew. Karen will never get a fair trial. The Alberts have that town wired to believe in whatever they want them to believe. John’s body had wounds consistent with a beating and bite marks and scratches from a dog. Brian Albert is a MMA fighter. John had two black eyes, a bleeding nose and mouth and multiple bruises about his head as well as a broken skull. The wounds on his head are not consistent with being hit by a car going 24 miles per hour in the dark in the wind and snow under the influence of alcohol in reverse for 67 feet. Sober people have tried to recreate this and they couldn’t do it! Higgins had issues with with John OKeefe, Collin Albert had issues with John OKeefe and Brian Albert had issues with John OKeefe. I certainly wouldn’t think he was crashing on coco’s couch but that’s why Karen asked her niece for phone numbers as she was looking for John. if she thought he may have tried walking home, it’s not ridiculous to think of the dangers of snow plows at night. Maybe they’re cleverly adamant he wasn’t in the ‘house’ because he was only in the ‘basement’. Just look at his injuries and everything else from Jen making phone calls and not going in the house for help and them not coming out etc etc etc etc etc.
I don’t think you really believe what you’re saying, or you haven’t looked at the facts of this case. The Feds know Karen didn’t kill John. And they watched the crime further unfold and REVEAL ITSELF. I hope you get my gist.
Aside from all the presented evidence there’s so much more they haven’t even touched on. Fighting corruption takes time.
Here’s some educated perception- if Karen left him for dead at 12:30 am with his head injury with temps in the teens, not dressed properly in the wet snow and wind, high blood alcohol level, incapacitated to not even being able to shiver which is the natural response in order to survive, his core temp would have been less than 80* by 5:30 am. He wouldn’t have been alive. His body wasn’t there by 2:30 am when all guests had left and Lucky plowed. There was no blob or body there. They put him out after that time. That’s why he was technically still alive. Jen knew it was close but it’s too difficult to discern hos long to die as his head injuriy, alcohol consumption, clothing, and wet weather all factor in to Hos long it would take his body to die.
They dug up the blood soaked cement - but not in the house, in the basement. I’ve heard they have the construction tools-I’m hoping they knew where the debris went.
I feel like I’m talking on deaf ears though. Even if Karen did it, she should have been found not guilty as there’s overwhelming reasonable doubt.
So, why was the jury so confused 🤔
