The sad thing about that part was that even after Patroclus watched his comrades fall into the hands of Trojans; even after Briseis was taken knowing very well what Agammenmnon will do to her; even after Achilles was slowly falling into the shadows of his fame, Patroclus. Never. Stopped. Loving. Him.
This animatic had captured the whole ambience of the book, and I'm awed at your sublime skills! Thank you for sharing it.

They went thru everything together, they were philophers and real men bound by the institution of friendship which was sacred in Ancient Greece. No disgusting lie can ruin their image. This is so good! It perfectly highlights how obviously out of control Patroclus must have felt- Briseis was gone, Achilles was being a stubborn asshole and not listening. The soldiers probably blamed Patroclus since Achilles was not there for them to take their anger out on. Everyone expected Patroclus to be the one to convince Achilles to fight again. He must have been under so much pressure and no idea what to do. And as for Achilles, it must have hurt him even worse to allow Patroclus to go fight than if Patroclus had stolen the armor, because if Patroclus had stolen it, Achilles would have more plausible deniability- it wouldn't be completely his fault that Patroclus died. But because Achilles endorsed him taking the armor and going to fight, it probably made Achilles feel even worse when Patroclus was returned to him dead... 😥
the second verse fits so well. "what kind of man that you are, if you're a man at all" represents Patroclus finally seeing Achilles and realizing what he has to do, leading perfectly into "i will figure this one out on my own," where Patroclus does in fact figure it out without Achilles. and the "i'm screaming 'i love you so'" right as the final kiss happens? ASDFGHJKL YOU'RE A MONSTER. but it fits so well...ugh love this. it brings me pain

hello. this is amazing. the way you sequenced the scenes of the book with the music and the lyrics was on spot. It gave so much depth in the key moments to the point that, as a viewer I bet even without context of the book itself, it can take anyone's breath away. The way you portrayed the actions and frames from different angles accentuates the scenes in the book so vividly, it gave me long lasting shivers. Ok I loved it so much but let me just point out. No one in the Greek army would push Patroclus aside like that cause they had a huge respect n love for him, that's why he is call PHILTATOS. And Briseis wasn't taken that fast, she didn't even know that she was about to be taken; it was Patroclus who told her about everything that happened , but before he told her; he already beg Achilles to hide her instead, but without avail. So this means Briseis was taken after Achilles spitted against Agamemnons feet not before it. And it was Achilles who pointed a finger on Agamemnons chest, not Agamemnon. I just want it to be more acurate hehe😅 but overall I loved it make me want to cry again 😭
