      Who was Muhammad? He never met Jesus, nor spoke to his disciples. He conflicted with the mission of Jesus and distorted what Jesus's apostles taught us.

    How would they know they chose the "best of the best", if they didn't have an ORIGINAL to work with? Hahahahah! I always get a chuckle about Islamic logic.

    •  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They never had an original that lasted longer than the campfire that it was spoken around. They had a gist but everyone walked away with his own variation. When it became apparent that this was a fabrication that even Muhammad varied, Muhammad invented the ahruf excuse. Later Muslims invented the Qiraat excuse. Later the doctrine of "perfect preservation" was invented after Uthman standardized the quran. The problem is they have been trying to cap the genie in the bottle ever since.

    •  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @HB Net Everything Islam tells us about Muhammad and the Quran is questionable. If you find some wisdom in the pages of the Quran, good for you, but as a reliable religion that is truthful about itself, God or salvation? Look elsewhere.

      These recitations, if you were to write them down with arabic letters, would all be exactly the same, but there are different ways of pronouncing it, which is why you have the different recitations. However, they are all valid, as the prophet read with these variations and approved of them, and they reached us through tawatur (i.e through so many chains of narration it is impossible that they could have been fabricated).

      @@misterlogik8163 Hi, thank you for showing interest in the religion of Islam. I would love to answer all your questions but what you have done is fired a load of over a dozen questions at me at once, which cannot all be answered in a TH-cam comment. Some of your objections are also very vague so if you could narrow them down that would be great. For example your objection of Islam not being compatible with any other belief system could be a two hour debate itself. Also your claim of the quran being written 200 to 300 years after the prophet Muhammad is incorrect, I think what you meant to say was hadeeth, not Qur'an.

Because I hear many of them are couched in the terms of "it was narrated by ....." Scholars Differ
    There is a difference of opinion among classical Muslim scholars on the subject of the 'seven modes', to the extent that one of them was able to say: 'the degree of difference of opinion (iktilaf) among the scholars is to the extent of 35 sayings'. {footnote 46}
    different opinions are that the 'seven modes'
    - Different languages (dialects) current among the Arabs at the time of revelation, such as e.g. Qura'sh, Hudhayl, Tamin, etc., who had different ways of pronunciation, which could even affect the spelling,
    - It may also be the usage of words from the different languages in the Qur'an (this is considered one of the most sound views).
    - Usage of synonyms in the Qur'an, i.e. that a variety of expressions describe one and the same concept. A well known example is Sura 101:5, which reads differently in another version both meaning 'like carded wool'. The word read in place of (Sura 1:6), etc. {footnote 48}
    - Different aspects of the revelation, such as e.g. order, prohibitions, promise, narrations, etc.
    - Seven differences, such as possible ways of reading words and structures in the Qur'an, e.g. the word 'trusts' in 23:8 which can be read both 'trust' (sg.) or 'trusts' (pl.) according to the plain text without vowels.
    - Slightly different wording of a particular passage, such as e.g. in 9:100: 'Gardens under which rivers flow' which some read as 'Gardens from under which rivers flow' adding the word 'from' (min) to the text.
    - Different ways of pronunciation as they have been explained in great detail by the scholars of qira'a (recitation) such as e.g. Click to View , etc. {footnote 49}". (Ulum, p. 115 von denfer

    Qadhi says that 10 versions of all the Qira´at were chosen by scholars as superior, but shortly before he says that all Qira´at are just different mixes of the seven Ahruf. How can some of these Qira´at be better than others if all are supposed to be perfect? What criteria could these scholars possibly have? And if there are criteria, doesn't that mean that human error entered into the other ones? Also, how are we supposed to picture Muhammad revealing the Quran in 7 Ahruf? Did Muhammad seriously recite every one of his verses 7 times in different Arab dialects, when all his followers only spoke the Hijaz dialect? Wouldn't that have appeared very strange to the earliest Muslims? And how did these early Muslims memorize all these different pronunciations of the Quran, in dialects that those from Mecca and Medina had no familiarity with? Why not just reveal the Quran the way it is in heaven and let the other Arabs familiarize themselves with that dialect, the same way non-Arabs have to learn Arabic itself in order to read it. Muslims holding on to their modern concept of perfect preservation of the Quran is becoming laughably pathetic at this point.

      I did say that almost all of the Qira'at compilers wrote their Qur'ans within the last 20 years of their lives. Therefore, Ibn Amir from Damascus did his work between 616-632 AD, so that's about 100 years after Muhammad was receiving his Qur'an/s in their 7 Qira'ats (between 610-632 AD), so he wouldn't have been anywhere near Muhammad (living up in Damascus) nor would he have known him, because though we don't know when he was born (I'm not sure where you got your date, but he couldn't have been born in 8 AH, because that would make him 110 years old when he died). Does that help?

    21:00 - It's NOT 7 Qiraat it's 7 Ahruf. There's a difference - a very IMPORTANT difference. The 7 ahrufs were revealed to the Prophet pbuh by Gabrielle (as) and it refers to the difference in recitation due to dialect etc. This is separate from the 10 qiraats which are transmissions of the readings, these ten named after the most well-known transmitters. As you know (I hope) the preservation of the Quran esp. in the early period relied heavily on oral transmission. You can say the differences between the qiraats is due to or at least influenced by the 7 ahrufs. BUT you have to remember the distinction between the two; they are not the same. As for the dates, you should be able to figure that out now. If the qiraats are simply the transmissions of the readings - passed on from student to student etc. - there is a time lapse. Why are they named by the above people? Those individuals were most notable for that type of recitation - that's my understanding. I think it's unfair what you've done here, in fact it's not only that it's highly inaccurate and also misleading. You haven't even stressed the most important point in all this - the meaning. It hasn't changed. The fascinating thing about all these qiraats is that is that even where there slight differences in meaning they do not contradict each other - now how is that possible if all this is man-made? You also haven't appreciated the great benefit of having these qiraats, it makes the reading easier for people depending on the demographic. Islam is for all people - but we're all different, divided by ethnic groups and language groups. The many qiraats are a blessing, my friend.

It now seems it is even worse than this, it has to be in a distinct dialect to be understood, which would be hard to explain with absence vowel points in the earliest manuscripts, which all seem to bear redactions, besides being incomplete.
    How came other ancient texts do not suffer from this problem? Why would God use such an undeveloped language where there a plenty of alternatives in the same region?
