@@Spectradom Hello dr, I got rid of all dairy products about 3 months ago as advised by the trainer in order to lose my body fat. But I started taking protein supplements. But after about 2 and half months I got stomach pain and diarrhea as soon as I take the protein shake. I had taken protein supplements few times before that but I had no issue. So I thought this was an issue with the supplement that I had so I bought a new one. But the issues are still the same. Can you please tell me what to do? Thank you

What does it mean to take lactase tablets "with the first bite of dairy product". Is that within 5 seconds before or after the first bite (or sip)? Or does it, somehow mean to take them in the "same" bite (sip) of dairy product?
For 21 years I use to drink milk a lot and no problem at all, 22 now I have to buy Lactaid 2% now it’s the best one makes things so easy and better for me .
Soy milk is very bad for you. If soy is not fermented, it should not be eaten. It can create estrogen problems among other things and it's practically considered a toxin to the human body. Avoid it. :)
Everly Green There’s no good evidence that soy is harmful. It would require ingestion of large amounts for it to mimic estrogen effects. 1-2 cups a day is unlikely to be harmful and is a source of protein, especially for vegetarians.
That is me with cheese especially. I've only been lactose intolerant for only 2 years and its been hell. My body can't tolerate any amounts of dairy, i have problems with even sips and it really sucks. Also....lactase pills don't work for my body. It just won't digest it for some reason.
I was lactose intolerant, then I stopped consuming dairy for 10 months and now I can eat dairy no problem. I used to not even be able to handle butter, and butter is so low in lactose. Now, I can have milkshakes no problem.
The symptom I have the most is diarrhea. Like many others, this is a recent problem for me. It wasn't so bad at first, but it would only get worse -- not better. Perhaps my symptoms have not been as severe as other people's, but taking Lactase enzyme tablets (or supplements) is helping me feel better.

@@Al-oh9yr just introduced it back into my diet . Ie little bit of cheese on ya pasta then take a rest day then try again . Just build it week by week and soon your body will adjust well did for me anyway
You would introduce it slowly with no lactaid pills? My stomach can tolerate some dairy but the worst is breaking out after having some cheese or even cookies.
Cheese! I love cheese so much. I started to become lactose intolerant this year at age 43. So when I looked it up online, it said to stop dairy and then introduce it back in small amounts. I found out that I can handle mozzarella cheese better then any other cheese. I also miss coffee with whole frothed milk. But I can have a smalk cup at least once a week as a little treat and I'm fine. But I'd have to admit that I actually feel more energetic without all that milk and cheese I used to consume. Maybe a blessing in disguise? :)
Yes. You’ve said it yourself. A blessing in disguise! Milk, aside from its protein content, is just not as necessary for adults as it is for infants on the other hand to aid in bone development…
Yes. I'm 48 and this past summer realized it was the dairy causing all my stomach issues. Come to realize since cutting out dairy, my joint pain is gone and so much more energy!
My daughter is 22 before we found out her dairy problems. (10/21) She has had an abdominal problems for years has had multiple ultrasounds. Thinking it was her uterus. Consuming high amounts of dairy daily for her entire life. Why has she not built a tolerance for it? Why have her doctors never mentioned food allergies? 1 week no dairy no more abdominal cramping. And her cramping so severe she cannot function. All she could do was lay on the couch or laying in bed with a heating pad. Even 1 small piece of chocolate causes lower abdominal cramping. And Lactaid pills only provide relief in small amounts of dairy. Like one piece of cheese per pill. In my uneducated opinion I think some people are lactose sensitive and some people are completely intolerant. All allergies are not experienced the same. Now we are trying to get more testing on more food allergies. We did have some allergy testing done and found out a lot of environmental allergies.
I started having stomach cramps when I started having Greek Yogurt for breakfast. I'm 72, so it really surprised me. I love all of your comments, sharing tips to help everyone. Thanks for those.

I'm 39 and I became intolerant almost overnight after a brief digestive disorder. I have no gas, bloating, or diarrhea...just nausea for a couple hours. It sucks.
UPDATE: 1.5 years later I found out what it was. I had driven myself into a state of very poor digestion because of WORRY. I'm not kidding, I was constantly anxious about the future and it destroyed my digestion. After a wise old Korean acupuncturist and herbalist told me that was the issue, I decided to stop thinking about the future at all--and within 48 hours, my digestion had returned to normal, after 1 and a half years of nausea and every night.
And it doesn't get that sour taste nearly as fast, also from time to time when you buy milk of the shelf, and it's supposed to be fresh it'll still have that sour taste faint yet noticable, the sugar being the lactose having been removed actually seems to make the milk fesher tasting and last a little longer, taste wise it is better
Lactaid milk does not have the lactose stripped out of it it just has the lactase enzyme added to it. Make sure you shake the milk well or else some of the lack taste stays at the bottom.
Milk allergy is typically instantaneous. Also, you can switch to lactose free milk (lactaid milk or equivalent) for a period of time. If you have a milk allergy, even lactose free milk will aggravate your symptoms.

I'm wondering if there are other digestive enzymes or certain probiotics that could help for milk sensitivities. I've drank milk and used it in cereal my whole life, until recently, it seems to give me skin sores, sinus issues and all sorts of weird reactions. I'm not sure if it's me or if the milk changed or what?....
You can develop allergies or food sensitivities at any point in your life. I'm sure one day they'll learn more about how the gut biome works and what impacts it, how to prevent these sorts of things etc. But you can also try charcoal tablets. Charcoal basically absorbs things, like toxins, including the offending lactose in your body. Take it when you eat dairy and it will prevent the symptoms. The only thing is you can't take it within 2 hrs of other medications or supplements, because it will prevent them from absorbing & working as well. Similarly, if you can't find or don't have charcoal tablets on hand, just toast a piece of bread until it's really well toasted and charred black. The charcoal from the toast will essentially do the same thing (maybe not as strongly as a tablet, but this has also worked for me to alleviate lactose intolerance symptoms)
if I have lactáid pills I get constipated. Same when I consume cheese or milk products listed in ingredients of snacks. it’s Russian roulette. Never know what happens Diarrhea or constipated for days. My best route is to try plant based diet and no cheese pizza no cheese everything sub it out for almond when possible. I have always ate cheese and milk but when I was about 40 I developed a intolerance for certain mozzarella cheeses and white cheeses like Swiss. But it depends on the brand or restaurant. Like I can't walmart great value cheeses. And olive garden, or a Italian grill down the road from me. But have no issues with like papa John's, pizza hut, or the pizza buffet we like. But when I get bad cheese it hurts me bad. Causes bloating and sharp pains in the middle of my stomach. I have found that red wine eases the pain, or apple cider vinegar sometimes I mix the both together to help.
Do you need lactase to effectively digest a probiotic ?? Does anyone know if there Is a link between lactose intolerance and bv (bacterial vaginosis) ?

I'm honestly desperate because even though I've been diagnosed with lactose intolerance for a few years, my family continues to give me lactose based products and keep forgetting about my allergy, I'm looking for replacements and ways to deal with my allergy while waiting for a chance to get meds for it.
haha i feel this so bad. I was even hospitalized once due to severe bloating from milk yet my family don't care they will bring you a cheese pizza when you get home from hospital :P we have to manage it on our own!
A good tip is getting an apple I like eating green apples more since there more sour but any apple to you liking hold you nose or hold your breath for a little drink the milk after that immediately eat the apple and the milk taste will go away-
I've been tested for dairy allergies 4 times in the last few years, all came back negative. Yet every single time i eat dairy, I'm on the toilet for at least 2 hours with nearly blackout pain. I would've rather lost an arm or leg rather than my dairy tolerance. Incredibly stupid there isn't q cure for this.
Then we have me. I've had it since birth to now 16 and it comes in waves, sometimes it's very bad for a month and for several years from 12-15 I've gone untouched. And now it's getting worse. Is it just something I have to live with?

Hello , I wanna know about turmeric milk and lactose intolerance. Now golden milk is available in market but I'm a lactose intolerant person so I wanna know about golden milk is good or not, can you do a video on it?
You mention going a period without dairy can cause a decreased level of lactase in the body. Is it possible this can happen with gluten causing a sensitivity? I know this video is about dairy, but, just a question I had.
I love how you mention cheese MULTIPLE times, yet MOST cheeses contain less than a tenth of a gram of lactose per serving (which is usually WAY below an amount that even people with SEVERE lactose intolerance can tolerate). I think it would have been FAR more beneficial to educate people on which foods contain what quantity of lactose. However, considering you said that YOGURT is one of the foods with the LEAST lactose, I can tell you have NO CLUE what the real numbers are. While yogurt contains probiotics, it also contains on average, 8g of lactose per serving, which is about 80x the lactose in cheese or butter per serving. For someone who has moderate to advanced lactose intolerance, yogurt is COMPLETELY off the table, regardless of how some say it's "generally well tolerated" by those with L.I.
🚫 I’ve tried this and is false. You can’t reverse lactose intolerance. I consumed a regular amount of milk products and the intolerance got worse and worse to the point I cant tolerate any amount of lactose. Body’s Lactase (that breaks lactose) production decrease naturally with age. Mamals are not meant to ingest milk passed the childhood. At 35+ age depending on genetics lactase production will be reduced to 0% or for the lucky ones to 50%. In any case the amount of lactase production will be reduced drastically by age 40.
I developed it a couple of months ago even with mash potatoes but on the upside I’ve stopped putting on weight without having to diet or exercise. Also I used to get brain fog and my hip would ache and that no longer happens. So glass ( of milk) half full
I turned lactose when I drank a carton a milk for about 2 weeks until at the 3rd week I noticed I had diarrhea for the first time.... now I wish we could travel back in time so I could never drank that carton of milk.
I like Fairlife Lactose Free Milk. It is delicious. I can eat cereal and put it in my coffee and cereal. I will have to buy the Lactase Tablets for Ice Cream, Pizza and other lactose laden foods.
This doesn't work for everyone. I tried it and got sick. Also not everyone who is lactose intolerant unable to cheese. I can eat cheese, yogurt and other fermented dairy, like sour cream, buttermilk and kefir. On the other hand, I can not eat or drink animal milks, cream or butter. I actually wound up in the emergency room trying to change my lactose intolerance. Because of severe dehydration. I've been like this my whole life. I wasn't breast fed as a baby.
It actually is odd that a human would drink milk from an animal after its fully grown. Just visiting this video since I accidentally had something that had dairy....
they told me i had this shit but its hella inconsistent sometimes ill eat cheese or chocolate and nothing happens then on a different day ill have a little bit of chocolate or a slice of cheese thats on a burger and ill be bloated for hours

But when I get bad cheese it hurts me bad. Causes bloating and sharp pains in the middle of my stomach. I have found that red wine eases the pain, or apple cider vinegar sometimes I mix the both together to help.
Is being lactose and tolerant dangerous? I think I might be...after I eat some sort of dairy my stomach starts rumbling and I have diarrhea
Milk was my favorite go to for bulking up when I was younger. This lactose has caught up to me....
Beano worked beautifully! Thanks!

can i have a headache if I'm a lactose intolerance?
I wonder would pushing the tolerating amount work with food intolerances of the IgG marker?
I don't know if I am lactose intolerant or not but i am a pcos patient thats why i avoid dairy intake as much as possible.
A good tip is getting an apple I like eating green apples more since there more sour but any apple to you liking hold you nose or hold your breath for a little drink the milk after that immediately eat the apple and the milk taste will go away-
I ate a Craig size bowl of cinnamon toast crunch and drank all the milk it's been two days I'm in severe pain

Hello ,
I wanna know about turmeric milk and lactose intolerance.
Whenever I take milk or yogurt it gives a lot of acne even on single intake
I don't have problem with milk products but I get diarrhea after eating chocolate why is this happen? pls tell me
I love how you mention cheese MULTIPLE times, yet MOST cheeses contain less than a tenth of a gram of lactose per serving (which is usually WAY below an amount that even people with SEVERE lactose intolerance can tolerate). For someone who has moderate to advanced lactose intolerance, yogurt is COMPLETELY off the table, regardless of how some say it's "generally well tolerated" by those with L.I.
doesn't that also depend on the type of yogurt?
Frequently going to the ladies after having anything with lactose 😢it's upsetting and painful
Why is my symptomes never the same? Why sometimes its okay some days not.
My tolerance is a tip of a pin before i get the worst cramps in the world leading to diarrhea
I drink my coffee black these days, sometimes adding full fat cream. works well.

Could starting on goat or sheep products first help?
When I eat icecream or cereals with milk my mouth gets swollen 😭😭😭
That could be allergy and severe. You should see someone.
Yep that sounds like an allergy
Doctor, what about probiotic with bifido bacterium longum?? that particular friendly bacteria maskes the enzyme to digest lactose ??
I developed it a couple of months ago even with mash potatoes but on the upside I’ve stopped putting on weight without having to diet or exercise. Also I used to get brain fog and my hip would ache and that no longer happens. So glass ( of milk) half full
How can mash make you ill there's no milk in potatoes?
I turned lactose when I drank a carton a milk for about 2 weeks until at the 3rd week I noticed I had diarrhea for the first time.... now I wish we could travel back in time so I could never drank that carton of milk.

The best source of calcium are plant foods. High dairy consuming countries have the highest osteoporosis levels.
