Great video, Can you connect all three cameras to separate 3.5mm TRS line mics like the blue yeti for a Multicam podcast with three people? Or does it need to XLR to audio interface for multiple mic recording?
Im a one man band… i wonder if theres an option for the units to cut to the person whos is talking basically following audio on the spot? Or i would have to recut afterwards?
I don’t think so. It can auto change angles, but it isn’t based on which ones have audio levels that are higher. Only thing I’ve seen that has that is the Roland VR-1HD.
My question is, during editing could you manually switch from cameras to get those guest focused shots or is that a process needed to be done while recording? Thanks for the very helpful video!
And a follow up question to this.. lol sorry, but would this setup be compatible with a podtrak p4 that’s the interface I went with for the intent of having multiple guests.
I’ve got a a6400 Sony camera to use as my main middle camera reckon the other 2 sides would be good enough to just have these mevo cameras in? Or reckon the drop off in quality will be too big?
So I’m confused. If you have the 3 Mevo cameras, one for the host one for the guest and one to capture both, and I only have two mics, would I need tk connect each mic to a camera? Or could I just hook it up to one camera into the interface where the mics are connected?
Either way would work. If you want to control the volume level of the the microphones separately in the app then you would want to connect them to the cameras separately. But you could also connect them to an interface and have that plugged into 1 camera.

Yes, use one as a wide angle showing all 6 and then put the other two cameras on 3 people each.

If you are broadcasting live, you would change the angles live. But you can also record to each camera individually to edit the angles later.
