- I will commit suicide at the very peak of our desperate love so it will never get the chance to weaken or fade. And you will do the same only to immortalize our unified hearts. And so that every moment will remain fresh in both our minds!
Remember to support Haikus: zegemabeachrec...
Thank you for your patience. Life sorta caught up to me recently. -_-'' This was a hard video to make due to the amount of information and footage to use. But it was worth it as Haikus is special in a genre that's really hard for me to get into. Learning their story, their music and their lyrics really gave me a different perspective in the genre and harder music in general.
TO THE BAND THEMSELVES: Thank you for watching. I hope to have represented your work in a positive light. Your art deserves a look at and there is always a story to tell. If you want me to take down the video, shoot me an email. Thank you for what you do and we all wish you the best.
these are important because i used to think these bands would die without a whimper. i still listen to all these bands, Beau Navire, Boy Problems, Maudlin, Loma, Funeral Diner, etc, etc.
Gotta archive the bands of old that still touch our heart to this day.
someone totally unconnected with our small town screamo scene found my band that only played a few shows. Totally unaware, they found the stuff we did at 16 that I always thought was something special. It’s amazing. the mid-aughts were the dark ages of screamo, all the big bands were broken up except like, Circle Takes the Square
Check out the reptilian and native as well
I'm glad what few people care, are giving a shit about these guys. Loved them so long ago, and still do. Warms my heart.
Found this band today me and my friends are making a screamo band and I was looking around for bands like this for Vox inspiration and this is my new favorite band now lol
NO WAY YOU DID ONE ON HAIKUS YOU MADE MY DAY PLEASE KEEP UP WITH THE BAND VIDS
one of the most iconic bands in the real screamo/emoviolence/skramz scene. i really hope they do come back .
Used to listen to this while going for a 4 mile run at 9 at night. Definitely helped bring out the drive to keep going.
One of my favorite emo bands of all time, thank you for making this video.

IWHACIYY was a huge part of high school for me (and I live in Wisconsin!). Thanks for taking the time to give this criminally obscure project the documentary treatment they deserve; I can totally relate to that feeling of [re]discovery mentioned at the start of the video.
There were a lot of bands that were sort of lost to time following the big MySpace data loss some decade or so ago. If you want to dive into something similarly obscure, I’d love to see you do a video about Edward Bostitch. They were this short-lived ‘band’ of teenagers that made really unique-sounding lo-fi sort of music and recently there was a big push in terms of recovering songs of theirs that were once thought lost. You can find what’s been recovered here on TH-cam; these guys never released a vinyl LP or any physical media AFAIK so I’d argue they’re even more obscure than IWHACIYY.
Edward Bostitch never thought id hear that name again 2000s MySpace was something small but special
lmao I grew up with these guys. Steve was amazing, but his brother nick is the real talent.
thanks for doing this archival work
I’ve spoken with Freddie a few times, he went on to drum for Punch and Don’t Front. He makes electro pop music here and there that is awesome and is currently a father
Just saw this video! I'm glad there's a catalog of this band on TH-cam. Never got to see them their reign but I hope I can see them soon.
dude this video is amazing. I spent too much time tracking down these old band tumblrs and shit, you putting it in video form is awesome.
I'm surprised it wasn't done sooner! Thank you for watching.
Great vid, always wanted to know more about these guys. Hope the reunion actually happens!
An interview with them is supposed to come out in December I believe
I heard! Need to keep my ear/eyes out for it
where?
Any updates on this?

maybe this is different from what op is referring to
@@jesuschrist3000ADHDyep this is the one
Always wondered the story behind this music. One of the most important screamo bands to ever haver existed, imo.
relax...
This is even more weird to see. No one still loves this art? Before it was called screamo in disdain and, then, with love. IDK it's just crazy. I'm happy too see these videos💪🏽💙
A video like this has been long overdue. Thanks for making it.
Glad you liked it!
You got yourself a new sub; keep the band vids coming!
let's gooo im loving these videos dude!
More to come!
man, it takes me back!!!!! back when I was still taking medications due to depression this band was there together with me!
How didnt i know about this channel, great vid! couple suggestions for vids: Carlisle, anomie, enfold, owltian mia, portrait, the assistant, closure, agna moraines autobiography, i would set myself on fire for you, i have dreams. Might be hard to find some info on some of these and if you want any other obscure band suggestions lmk because i could make an endless list haha, cool to see people still appreciating and spreading this music around!

Loved this video, love hearing about these bands and the people trying to preserve them. Thank you

father figure is pretty similar. same with xochitl which has a member from haikus. iwontstopwonderinguntilyoustopbreathing also is similar.
i thought algae bloom sounded alike, for a duo
literally some of the greatest material ever recorded. Like, listen to the instrumental track bro. Even if this isn’t your scene, how could it not hook you
Do a video on she died real pretty honestly I never hear anyone talk about them
So many bands I'd love to see you delve into, but if I hade to choose, it'd be Honeywell. Always wondered how that band ended up sounding the way they did on that astonishing LP.
one of my favorite bands along with pageninetynine, title fight and coven
I love these guys. Definitely one of my favorites
I’m glad I found this video, gives us a good insight on this bands history, good work and keep it up!

Yooo please do a video on Open Letters. Active from like 2001-2003. Absolute gems and i know nothing about them
I've looked into them and like what I've heard. :)
this band is in the top ten best emo bands for me
heaven sent🙏🏿😋
I love your videos, man. I know it's not your area but there's some great bands here in Florida that make up an emerging genre of "Florida emo". novely, opposition dolls, gravess, flowers for emily, and so many more. Check em out!
of course I'll listen to them! Always happy to hear newer bands from Florida
Do a video on SAETIA or Orchid Or page 99 or city of caterpillar , or I would set myself on fire for you , or circle takes the square , those bands made a real difference to me and some other kids in the Southern Ontario punk/hardcore scene
Oops forgot about the band I hate myself , specifically the song trapped in a flood with the captain of the cheerleading squad
Can you do one's on Elliot and Hour of the Star
yooo this is sick

I've never heard of the genre "violence" what is the definition of it? If there is any
I used this video and playlist for listening and understanding the genre. The playlist is a bunch of different bands in the emoviolence genre. The video is by ThePunkHistorian.

I don't think you'll answer but, do you know exactly the role of each member of the band? i have only managed to find out that fred played the guitar and daniel the drums
Freddie - guitar/vocals
Daniel Bajda - drums
Trei Campbell - Guitar/vocals
Steve - Bass
Couldn't find Freddie and steve's last name but these are the only members I could find who played. Hope this helped!

@KazonYT thanks for that man
I can't get enough of this band now lol

Putting this on tiktok
the name 'she died real pretty' is gross & not good
ok.
I can’t believe a band who’s name literally referenced cannibalism would collaborate with a band whose name is so inhuman!!!!

Holy shit, I didn't think I'd ever hear anyone talk about this band again 😮
