SUBARU WRX GETS FUEL PUMP UPGRADE! Problem Fixed?

Today I installed a 300 series DW fuel pump in my Subaru WRX! This was an effort to fix my hesitation before boost and low fuel pressure issue!

See if your tank is holding pressure, if it drops off fast you won't get the pshhhh when you open the fuel cap, listen around cap for leaks, also check fuel return vacuum line for splits it's one of the three fuel lines (where the under bonnet fuel filter would be if your model had one) its the one without the little circular valve, a split in that an you lose tank pressure, cheap simple check.

I just ordered the AEM fuel pump for my 03. I'm getting a hesitation around 2500 rpm. Hopefully, this helps. I just swapped the engine and the car has 216k so I'm sure it's overdue

If your fuel pressure regulator is bad. Pull the vacuum line off. A bad regulator will push the fuel through the diaphragm and the vacuum line will fill with fuel.
Just a thought.

I had the same issue with my turbo smart FPR so I replaced it with a GFB FPR and I now hold fuel pressure once the engine shuts off

The COBB air filter is cleanable...why the F are you replacing it?

Ugh I’m having the same issues with mine 🤦🏽‍♀️ I changed my aeromotive fuel pressure regulator and didn’t help. I have my Walbro 450 coming in. My car won’t even start 😭 I get no fuel pressure. Injectors are good. If anything, I might end up having a small leak somewhere.

Alex Baxter I couldn’t hear the fuel pump prime so I took it out. The wiring was completely burned. Got a new fuel pump assembly and harness! Should start right up 😁

No. He was on a Walbro 255 I believe.
