    I thought this was a pretty good episode (but there aren't any that I don't like). I thought the 'Spaceology' storyline was pretty good, the way they took a sideswipe at Scientology, where masseurs are the enemy - instead of psychiatrists - was particularly delicious.

      I think it's easier to laugh here because Jen's laughing is contrasted with Moss taking it completely seriously. The joke is on Jen's insensitivity to an admittedly absurd, but terrible situation

      But the show isn't making fun of Roy. Everyone takes it very seriously except for Jen. So if anything the joke being presented in that Jen is horrible. And as a joke that's really thin to hold a story line on.

    • @NeilTalks
      @NeilTalks  ปีที่แล้ว +7

      I have zero problems with a lot of LGBTQ humour, and had zero problems with The Work Outing (heck, I absolutely loved it). But I feel that Linehan's take on certain subsectors of that community has been both cringy and just unfunny. I'm not one to say that certain topics are just plain off-limits, but certain topics become cringey really fast if they aren't actually funny. As I think we all realise, all humour is ultimately just personal taste.

    • @cockoffgewgle4993

      The Work Outing was about gay men. We know wokies barely consider gay men part of the alphabet "community" anymore. Because a) they're men, and b) they have a sense of humour.@@NeilTalks

    I don't get the joke with the Roy story line in this one. Yeah, the masseuse kissing him was funny but the rest of it? Everyone is taking it seriously as a form of sexual harassment and no one is making fun of him except for Jen. Is that the joke? That Jen is horrible?
    I just don't get it. But this explains why I also don't remember this episode very well at all. It's just not very good.
