wow, the power looks soo smooth I expected it to get to the midrange 4000-5500rpm then just power wheelie and scream it way all the way up to the red line but it looked almost like 4 stroke power delivery but faster revving than a normal 4stroke.
@Otto Bergmann (Helenelundsskolan) they made road going versions of two stroke sportbikes. I'm trying to get my hands on an rgv500. They got quite a few for sale in the UK. If they made a road compliant version of this bike it would be quite nice, plus it would help with R&D funding. I know they built this exact bike for the wealthy but why stop there. There is money to be made if they did. People who have been on a two stroke sportbike love them. They are actually easier to maintain than you think too.
Of course today's 4 stroke racing bikes are faster, more reliable and easier to ride, while still being fun and thrilling at the same time, but nothing beats the kick of a powerful 2 stroke. You can feel it coming, you listen the noise changing, you expect it, and every time is simply awesome.
I had a 3ma yami 250 witch I modified to the moon did as much as I could to make it faster. Let me just say the guys with the cbrs yami r6s hated me in the nabourhood coz that 250 would pull them all the way to 200 it was damb fast it revd clean past the 13k Rev counter mark man I miss that thing
@SUTER - Brilliant to see a technically up to date 2 stroke ! :) BUT the glass/carbon? fibre support arms on the top 1/2 of the fairing that support the windscreen are REALLY intrusive such that for too much of the time you can only see a small amount of the track surface! VERY disconcerting!
Bischlarbo69 Thats something I wondered about too- but they probably have to. I guess it uses a "Getrenntschmierung" (i don't recall the english word but, like, split oiling i guess)
Ducati claims they are pushing close to 300hp with the latest Desmo GP, and the bikes already weight about 157kg. They are limited in weight by rules though, not by design. Trust me, GP is very powerful and very light.
I don't think you understand, they are limited by rules, not by design. Meaning the rules could possibly stay the same. As far as power, there's not much use in a peaky powerband with over 300 hp. If you truly follow MotoGP you'll understand that Honda had issues even with a screamer firing order four stroke because it's power delivery was too aggressive. A two stroke with it's narrow and overly aggressive powerband would probably stretch the gap between riders and spit them off frequently. That would be amazing for bragging rights, but would suck for racing.
thank you, in fact I do not follow MGP a lot, but I learned in motor engineering basics that 2stroke in general is lighter and more powerful at the same weight.
It is yes, but it comes with a lot of downsides. I used to ride 125s and got to love two strokes, but the truth is that a lot of it is just nostalgia and sentimentality, they have a lot of flaws too. If they had more development maybe a lot of those would have been ironed out, and some have, like for instance direct injection has made them a bit more tame and economical, but they still suffer from their inherent nature. The truth is that MotoGP is in it's golden era nowadays, the racing is really good and a lot of the teams are up there, we shouldn't feel nostalgic about the two stroke era.
This bike is a masterpiece, a simple masterpiece!
2T is the best engine for race .
Love 2stroke
a 4 cylinder 2 stroke bike with 196 hp and 127kg.... isn't this a little bit suicidal?
J.Hunter And with a dry clutch
J.Hunter Nah in the eighties it was closer to 160 horses. Even Rossi's last title winning NSR was only around 200 odd.
J.Hunter my dad sold his with the words: I will kill my self hahah now he has a Mv agusta F4 with 200ps hahahah
Thats abnormal lol but cool
He he he
Wow! as an ex 250gp racer (nx5 rs250) this vid leaves me wanting for more. Its like a drug addiction, and this is truly riding the dragon!!!!

My headphone caught fire listening to this.
no data logger? come on! lets see the numbers!!! such an amazing machine! cheers to all on the team!!
Brutal, un sueño, maravilloso vídeo. De locura. La quiero, jajajajaja.
Thank You very much

bchant19 Thats exactly what I had in mind- the powerdelivery seems to be somewhat constant compared to smaller, like 50cc bikes
That's because the powerband can be changed... Even in smaller 2 strokes...
I love 2stroke ... I from Malaysia .I have motorcycle tzm150cc
same here!
How hard would it have been for them to set up a mic?
Very nice exit acceleration. Hats off the the pilot
Ah, the good ol’ 2 strokes, with their carburetors, pieces of art who run with fuel and oil mix, giving you a smell that is straight out of the 80s
TH-cam Bot this one actually has a very advanced fuel injection system
I wish they would allow for a road version. That way we can all enjoy a modern 2 stroke sport bike.

Have to say this is the best two stroker.. the way it revs out..
Quand tu as un peu trop équipé ta Derbi GPR... lol
I wish I could spend the rest of my life sniffing the ass end of a 500 cc 2 stroke. I'm not picky, yam yzr, kawi, gamma 500 don't matter
Castrol 927 its a good high
Los dos tiempos. Que canallaa!!
Just think how much power an nsr500 would have now if they weren't outlawed on the international race circuit.
Why suter dont make 1000cc 2stroke???
That would be too much for any rider to handle
Unnecessary
It probably wouldnt rev.
Why? They'd be better off making 300 or 350cc version.
@@dr.hugog.hackenbush9443 it would rev, the 800cc Tularis still rev tho
why is there no onboard of Lougher doing the TT??
magnifique
Love it

Is this a good beginner motorbike?
You are kidding right haha ....
why 2 strokes aren't dominating gp again?
Honda threatened to leave if they weren't banned.
Emissions
left clippon ... traction control, abs and anti wheely?

so do they engine brake on this bike?

What are there lap times like compared to a modern day superbike?
this is a modern day superbike
@@besserkaufen8373
Not really it's not homoligated, and it's a 2 stroke
I want to see KTM build a competitor to this thing.
They never will because it is not a “logical” bike
The greatest things in life are built by “mad” people
It is closer to “art” in many respects
The forks plate is obviously a prototype: they can save a lot of weight machining it.
How do you know its not machined out underneath?
@@mark675 because you can see through recently engineered plates, they are like a spider web.
THAT THING IS SO FARKEN AWESOME!!
1 new seat plz.
2t stroke LOVE
such a expensive bike but a so bad microphone? :(
Suara kasar apa itu selain suara knalpot nya? Seperti suara rantai kurang pelumas

What? A 2 strike bike? wot?
If moto gp bikes today were 2t..... 250 hp easy in 130 kg...
