At this point in the story, the theory as to why Rudy and Sylphie can increase their magic and do incantation-less is that they are young and still developing (as their magic pull is) and haven't yet gotten too used to the automatic feel od incantation to sens the energies flowing inside them. Those theories are later refined during the story until we get an actual answer, though i wont spoil it.

When I saw this, I basically just went 'that's obviously a chick" straight from the start. Also, good job recognizing that the dude is still a kid, despite his previous years, most people don't understand that and judge him accordingly.
Well, it was a "petty way to do it", but truthfully it was actually the most ideal way as well, especially against a hard-headed person.
Because, normally Adults rarely listen or care what a child has to say (especially in Asian families) and they just start accusing and punishing the child most of the time without understanding the situation. This is return ends up creating the common situation of children lying a lot to get out of trouble.
This was also a jab at the Japanese Culture of "apologize first, even if you are innocent".
Each chapter flew by so quickly. Before I knew it, it was over.

I have the exact same thought when I first watched this that we meet each of the girls and then there'd be some reason for him to leave them to meet them later.
