I love this song! This is one of their more chill songs, but they have quite a few that start out slow. I've been listening to this group for over 45 years and I still love them! Their music is groovy, funky, jazzy, and disco. Their old stuff is kinds trippy but I still listen to it along with the middle and later years.

I followed them very closely from the early 1970's. I can go deep little sis, that you will be blown away. Study them, and study their leader, the late Maurice White. He is one of the greatest writers, producers, and singers of all time. He died in 2016 and it hurt a lot of us. We lost a something when we lost him. Pull up the Emotions and he wrote their songs. All of the guys could sing. Philip Bailey with his falsetto voice, took them to another level when he came to the group in 1972. 50 years later, I still enjoy EWF, particular when I need to chill out and listen to some great music. 1970's was the golden era of music, musicians, and wonderful album production. The entire "All n all" album pictured for this video and the "Gratitude" Album are each better than most artists careers. Whichever popular songs, ie, "Fantasy", "Serpentine Fire", "Let's Grove", "Boogie Wonderland", "September", "Reasons" etc, you may choose to check out. Don't overlook "Can't hide love" and "Be ever wonderful". No worries on live performances either as, bands like EWF and the Isleys for example were often better live. 70's bands in both R&B and Rock & Roll tended to be good live (or they didn't make it) as videos weren't happening yet and most couldn't get stage time on the very few TV channels (ABC, CBS, NBC, PBS and the new guy FOX). If you couldn't sell on the radio or live you weren't getting on TV anyway.
As Steve Harvey has frequently said, Earth Wind and Fire is the baddest band ever created on god's green earth. So many great songs to listen to Fantasy, September, Let's Groove, Love's Holiday, That's the Way of the World, Reasons - I could go on and on. This particular song is one of my favorites because its roots is a poem and the build up is met to represent love making - slow start to the climax. Lots of babies made to this song.
